When you love something... usually you love the whole thing?!
Any way, People are jumping to conclusions and taking this song for face value. "its about killing a man". Well I'm pretty sure if it was, freddie wouldn't have mentioned killing a man. He is a lyrical genious, they don't make things obvioius, so I'd say this song is obviously not about killing someone. I'd rather say its a metaphor for performing some sort of act... being judged... and coming to terms with it. What ever you want it to be. I also don't just think its about freddie coming to terms with his homosexuality. And it is most deffinately not about AIDS considering he wrote it 10 years before that.
Any way, this is my favourite song at the moment, its like a story, its a million songs in one, its a picture, its a painting, its the opera. It's anything and everything. Don't try to analyze this song. Take what you want out of it, and don't force other people to try and take the same thing out of it that you did. |

can't describe it any other way. Yeah Its about the ups and donw in life. I kind of link of like to think about it as a comprimise. he's saying that good things will happen, and bad things will happen. but most of all we remember the good things "the heart of life is good"
Oh and I love toward sthe end when he says "fear is a friend whose understood" I still can't rap my head around that concept properly but I think he's on the right track. |

This is one of those that gets instantly stuck in your head. I heard it on the radio, and absolutely fell in love with it, and got it as soon as i got home. it is actually perefect, so real. One of the few songs I can actually listen to ALL day!
Most people have it just aobut right. It's about losing someone you love, and you have no control over it, rather it seems as though some body else is taking them away from you. I think the "she on your mind mind" sort of suggests some one else wants the person.
I don't like analysing this song, its too good. instantly on my top 10 songs EVER. |

For starters it's obviously enemies not image.
This is the thing I love most about Matt. He can write a song that appears to be about a multitude of things. I heard an interview of him and he mentioned something about a robotic dog or something... some wierd stuff like that. Persoanally I think it's about not giving up, and there's something of Matt's, most likely his guitar, that "curcifies his enemies" something that gives him hope. And the "plug in baby" bit suggests this.
A specific "song meaning" for plug in baby has been debated but there was no clear answer. Even Matt him self didn't mention anything about his guitar... or porn... but robotic dogs, haha. I absolutely love this song. i'v elistened to it over 1000 times at least. |

I have known this song for f#$^ing ages, becuase of tony hawks. It's funny how a game can get a song so popular. Well actually, I don't know if the song was popular before or what... but from what I've seen most people heard it first from the game. So I known this song for like 5-6 years now, and only recently i found out the name and got it and really started listening to it, and i'm obsessed with it, along with the original, THPS. I bought it for 13 buks on ebay few weeks ago, best buy ever!!! that game seriously has the best sound track EVER. well for a game. I just love this song... It's sort of just about feeling like shit I reckon. I like to listen to it when i feel like shit. But its soo goood!!! i gotta get hooked up with some more goldifnger... i know 99 red baloons, recomend some more stuff!!! |

There is no such thing as an incorrect interpretation, songs shouldn't have any single meaning, it should mean something different to everyone, thats why this section is "what does this song mean to YOU" not the artist. These lyrics are wrong, and that annoys me.
Personally, I don't think there are any girls involved, I think the gril that he is supposedly talking about is africa itself, and he just doesn't want to leave or let go of it. Just a song about a love for a country. |

It's kind of wierd that no one has said anything about this song.... oh well, probably just means that its crap. It's kind of catchy though, i must admit. I just remeber this song, like 7 years ago, at this kids party, it was a sleepover, and we stayed up pretty much all night just mucking around. Any way, video hits came on or something, and this song was on it, and I think i might have been the only one awake, but i swear it nearly made me cry, and I have no idea why. I haven't heard it since then, so it's kind of wierd. It's pretty catchy and emotional, dunno what any one else thinks about it, because i doubt they've ever heard it. |

Well considering this album has the theme of "showbiz" I doubt that its about some girl Matt wants, or a relationship. He rarely does that, not to say that he doesn't.
It's just about doing the hard yards before hitting the big scene, like "I have played in every toilet" And how little control you have over you carerer "when it pleases you". Also "I'll do it on my own" ... well don't we all just want to do that. Love this song.... |

Yeah true, and John Howard was described as an "ass licker" by the opposition leader, describing his relationship with George Bush. Btw, John Hoawrd is Australias PM. But apart from that we're considered the most livable country in the world, along with canada. It felt kind of good to hear it in this song though. I do here "I'm going to live in america" from a few of my friends, but from what I see on the news, and all the critisism, it doesn't sound like the best place in the world. At least thats what Fat Mike thinks. |

I think it's about people being scared of change, and love every thing the way it is. They love they're petrol powered cars, they're tv's, computers. We're living in our own little comforted world, and the cost of reality. I don't exactly what Matt is trying to say, but it seems like he wants these things to change, when you think about it, he's quite a cynical person. All three albums (not including hullabaloo) seem to show his cynisism in one way or another. |

I never thought I'd like a song like this... I'm so alternative, but this song, her voice is seriously awesome. At the start I thought she was saying "I can't breath...." So I was confused, but now that I know the lyrics it puts totally different light on the song. But yeah it's just about breaking up, and how she's better off with out this wanker (one would assume). You rock Kelly!!! But those Idol shows really do suck.... But I thanks them in this case ;) |

This song is just fucking awesome. It makes me happy and sad at the same time, just with that B power chord, and it's variation. I can only relate to this song to a certain degree, because I have such an active consciousness I never end up going out with the girls I liked, but that were also my good friends. But I can see what it would be like, and thats why I never went out with them. but great song, 5 and a half stars. |
