I think it\'s like what IRideASkatboard said, it\'s about a funeral for a close friend. Normally I would agree with the whole \"first serious relationship\" theory, but the last verse makes me think it\'s the funeral. My friends and I have speculated, and we couldn\'t figure out how the \"the ceremony was not proper, there was not enough people, and who picked the music...\" etc is metaphorical to the relationship theory. I don\'t know, I think it decirbes perfectly how people react at funerals... especially to someone that close to you. I know if I had to go through an ordeal like that again i\'d crack. |

Andrew doesnt write all the songs. Josh writes some too, like Fall and I think You're Gone. I can't remember off hand. But they're all good. And thsi song... Once i found like a clear version of this song, but it was only half of it. I love it though. My sister and I sing it all the time. |

oh wow... i can't wait to hear the rest of it. I love how Andrew's taking his time with everything, so that it all fits together seamlessly. I bought the Drive-thru/purevolume compilation today because it was teh only way I could find this song. And it's a bonus that i love tons of the songs on it, including "His Midas Touch" by Firescape!!

i agree with "ThinkingOfTheSummer".... it makes sense you know? but you guys should DEFINITELY get your hands on teh acoustic versions of this song... one was on rollingstone.com and i don't know where i got the other one but the only difference between the two acoustics is that at the part "sometimes it makes me wanna scream" one of them is only piano afterwards, while the other has Andrew singing "oh nooo" gradually going into a deeper and more seductive voice... oh... i want to hear that now... but yea.. good song! my friend and i learned it acoustically and play it for kicks |
