No way is this song innocent with that riff.
Weezer are stereotyped as "Emo." The aytypical
emo acessessories are thick, dark framed glasses like Buddy Holly's for men and decorated, winged glasses for women. Because this person "looks like Buddy Holly" (considers himself and his friend "emo".) he's being pesecuted("I don't care what they say about us anyway"), and beaten up.("Bang,bang"), possibly at school.
