| Another album, another BSB song which is fantastic in a current mainstream way. But as usual, they will release a power ballad which people will mock them for. Us BSB fans like them all - the urban groove, the acapella, the power ballads but to have any success at all it is these songs like PDA, Treat me right, Beautiful Woman that need to be chosen for release. | |

I LOVE this song. Although I adore all of their songs I cant understand why they insist on releasing slow power ballads when they have awesome songs like this on their album. Perhaps they are so rich they just dont care bout charting anymore but Im positive that this one would put them back on the map. Just like "My Beautiful Woman" would have off the last album. I love BSB, been to see them both times they've been to Aus and I will like them no matter how long they stay uncool. But the needy little girl inside me kinda wants to be validated by having them cool again. And "Treat me Right" would do it! It'd be pumping in the clubs 2 seconds after they released it. Anyway, killer song, although some people get a little overwhelmed by the layering in the bridge. |

I do acknowledge the ex angle but this song reminds me of something completely different. I know a beautiful man. He is perfect in almost every way possible. He is creative and he cares and he is brilliant and handsome and somehow manly too. He and I spend a huge amount of time together and sometimes he looks at me with adoration in his eyes and says..."Youre like a sister to me" LOL I worship the ground he walks on and he spends a great deal of time dating women who treat him like shit. All that stuff about kissing on the cheek, not sharing a lounge, sleeping over just so hes not alone....oooh its so my life. "And you say that I hurt you in a voice like a prayer Yeah, you say that I hurt you, and your voice is like a prayer Yeah, well, maybe I hurt you sometimes Let's contrast and compare Lift up your shirt - the wound isn't there" this just hits me cuz everytime I try to broach the subject about us being together he tells me its not worth our friendship and that I hurt him by asking. So this is what it captures for me - loving someone who keeps you always at an arms length. |
