this song is one of conor's more obvious songs when it comes to meaning, i think. take the title very literal. "falling out of love at this volume". i think this song is about how he gets in fights with a girl and tunes her out by turning up the music. he just doesnt care what she has to say because hes not in love with her anymore. |

i think this girl really likes him and shes persistent/ wont go away, like a disease. but doesnt want to get attatched because shes too young, hence, "but like a new disease, lord she's still too young to treat". the girl is throwing herself at him and hes not interested in loving her. she thinks the world of him but he doesnt wanna hurt her so he warns her not to get too close cuz he doesnt feel the same way about her- "volcanoes melt you down".

i like how damien puts the emphasis on repeating "i cant take my mind off of you" over and over. he puts soooo much emotion into those lines and it really shows just how much he is infatuated. i cant listen to this song without crying. amazing. |

i like this song, its different. but thats what conor was going for, i think..he has 2 new cds- "im wide awake its morning" which is more like his old stuff and "digital ash" which is more experimental, or dare i say, digital. i like the new sound of "digital ash". i give him props for trying it. |

i hate when people say "this band sucks!!" or something like that, especially about a talented band like green day. technically, green day doesnt really suck, cuz they can obviously play instruments probably better than u, AND512, and other people who mock them. maybe in ur own OPINION u dont like the genre of music green day falls into or something, but u dont have to sound like a complete asshole by saying "this song suxx" or something dick-like along those lines. so i'd appreciate it if the douchebags like AND512 would think about what theyre saying before they say it. thanks. |

i kinda agree with atthedrivein cuz ive been a fan of green day for quite a while now, and ive noticed that theres this whole new wave of "fans" since this new cd came out..these are the "fans" who saw green day on trl on mtv or something and dont really appreciate the music. i think the whole concept of the 'punk rock opera' was pretty cool and they made it work. the cd's kick ass. not the same as their old stuff, but still kick ass. |
