Um... riiiiiight liberty, settle down there slugger. Most of the people here probably know Constantine, and even if they dont, i doubt he has anything to do with the song. The name probably has some different meaning, but I really cant be assed to look through 49 pages of comments to find it. And, by the way, if you want to take the mature route, thats fine, but next time you do, you might want to lay off the whole blindly-swearing-in-a-fit-of-rage thing. And about the song, its excellent. I love the music, the vocals, the lyrics, everything. Definately in my top 5 of all time. |

| I agree its about past mistakes mostly. As for 14 and 23, it could be the ages where he remembers all the things he did, from age 14 to age 23. | |

I first heard this song exactly at the right time, and it was made better by the fact that I didnt plan it, I had never heard of SoCo before, and it was just a random song on my friend's iTunes (strangely, to this day he doesn't know how it got on his computer). This song just doesnt have any weak points. Usually you can think of ways you would rather the song sound. Maybe an out of place riff or chord, but not with this song. It fits together perfectly. A few months later, they've become my favority band and Konstantine my favorite song. About its meaning, I think its just about the irony that the only constant in his life was an on-and-off relationship. During the song, it switches between him getting in the way of her, and him wanted to leave her, but at the end they end up together. I prefer the live version because 1) it provokes many more memories than the studio version because of the timing of hearing it for the first time 2) it is sung with much more feeling and 3) I find the lyrics better. Especially the "God I miss you" it the end and the line they later replaced with the Jimmy Eat World lyrics (I think it cheapens the song). Not to say the live version is bad. In fact, all versions are excellent. Check them out on SoCo-online.net |

I absolutely love the lyric "I tried to changed, but I changed my mind" Yeah, I agree with you guys. This song is about how stuff happens, but you just gotta roll with it and play the hand you're dealt. |
