This song to me is not about drugs or disease or even vampires... It's about love. A weird sort of love. Or of seeing someone who you absolutely love in pain. 'I've seen you suffer, i've seen you cry the whole night through/ so I'll be your water, bathing you clean in liquid blue'. That alone implies that he feels the need to just take the person away from their problems, suspend reality for them. In a more macabre sense, it's kind of got this theme of "drugging" someone to make them feel better...not really fixing anything, just making yourself everything for that person, sort of a codependent relationship. And i'm rambling. But I guess it makes some weird sort of sense. |
