Maybe the word phanta is slang for 'phantasy', you know, like a fantasy, illusion or daydream, you get the gist. As for the whole song, I don’t know. I'm not sure what it means, I have some theories but I just say this and to keep it short, I think it’s like how f’ up society is and people being mislead and disillusioned (I dunno, I would say particularly with the unrealistic expectations and with how women are viewed in society or perhaps segregation or even both or just society in general) and she thought that she had finally gotten free from it all but discovers she too has been corrupted by it and it’s hard because not to ‘nowhere is alright’ as society is inescapable. I don’t know, or maybe it could mean nothing at all and like they were just ‘on drugs’ lol. Anyway, i love the eery, futuristic feel it’s like almost haunting. Plus how it is ambigious and could mean a lot of things but you get the feeling that there is a message in there somewhere is what makes it so great as well. |

:D Hey, no worries Corymachine I wasn't being serious and the grammatical mess thing well, that was the point. What can I say, I was bored. I'll admit I'm not into Good Charlotte and I only knew the chorus anyway (even though I did read the lyrics here) and from the chorus u can kinda interpret that...(that's my excuse neway lol)
But upon reading the lyrics, then they would have to be sarcastic and still making fun of pop stars complaining about their life being hectic when, duh, they're famous. Coz it's like, if they don't want to be famous don't be a pop star, that simple. So I'd say it's a take on pop stars like Lindsay Lohan and that awful 'Rumors' song. If it's not sarcastic, then it's pretty retarded. Or they could be poking fun at themselves. I dunno, it's kinda hard to tell coz it's ambigious.
As for their experimentation, well no offence but they weren't no Beatles or anything to begin with but I think it's good that they are trying to go beyond their boundaries. Hmm, maybe they might have learned a little something when one interviewed adrock (beastie boys) where Good Charlotte was apparently a major fan of them and adrock gave him the advice upon being asked about their experimentation and alienating their fans and he replied with 'if you think of the audience, then it's not art, it's a product.' Maybe that could have instigated (or contributed to) their change or experimentation. It's also interesting to note the lyrics taken from other songs and sampling. Just a thought.... |

Yes, action and feeling this are the same songs. apparently it used to be called 'Action' but they changed it to 'Feeling This' because they thought 'Action' sounded goofy. I like that they changed though. I'll admit that sometimes I miss old-school blink but it's good that they matured and are experimenting with lots of music because it must get boring to be doing one genre where the basic idea is sixty second songs and three chords and I'm open to other genres because I like lots of styles of music, I sincerely believe that music shouldn't be restricted by labels. As for someone saying that they suck because they still only play three chords, well you got to remember (even though they aren't punk) that their roots were punk which is home of the three chords and they don't 'suck' because of it. |

okay, blink is cool but in all honesty, this song sucks ass. it's funny and so are their impressions, until the novelty wears off that is and they have made better 'joke songs' than this, but when it all boils down to it, it really is just a joke song and was only a bonus track so I'm sure blink 182 knew that it sucked (but probably thought it was funny anyway and maybe wanted to pee people off) so people shouldn't get all hot and bothered over it... |

to me, it seems like someone who is always nice to your face but is continuously rotten behind your back but they suck up to you and try to pretend they're good or caring and try to get you to help them out or be on their side and hear them out, and that they are sorry or innocent or whatever but they always do it anyway and now he's just totally over it kind of thing. that's how I read it anyway. |

I think it could be about a girl he used to be good friends with because 'would you still be the same person that I knew' seems to imply that they had a past and he was the only one who would listen to her when she was having dramas but they somehow became distant or joined separate crowds or whatever and he likes her but maybe he's 'not allowed to' because she's cooler now or something and she doesn't seem to care or remember that he would be there when she was sad unless she is sad but now she has new friends but he still wants her back, even if it's just to tell him 'another boring story.' |

I think it's how some (or a lot) of adults act like they're all high and mighty and perfect and if there are youths that are messed up, they act all innocent like none of it is their fault and think that they are crazy and out of control but they don't really try to understand why because they think it's the all the kids' fault but if you look at the hectic world and how some adults act or the 'role models' and the abuse (both physical and verbally or mentally) that goes on then you can't lay all the blame on them and that all the adults' noses are clean and I think it could also be commenting (though not as directly) with this idea but in terms of who has authority vs general people. |
