I think it is Noel being existential, 'We the people fight for our exsistence' i think that is people not knowning why they are here and question their exsistence, that was quite obvious. 'fading like the stars we wish to be ' is about mortality and how we seem important but in the end we are all just dust. 'Ididnt mean what i just said but my god woke up on the wrong side of his bed ' I think that is about repenting his religion, he may have said he hated god, for spliting up his relationships or some other tragedy, so he is sorry but still places the blame partly on god. And from questioning god he has realised there isn't much he can do 'you have to give it all in all your life ' but be the best he can be.
