Woo. Fucking majorly woo. I love this song SOO much... I woke up this morning and after about 6 monthes of having the album I finally got that he was saying it like an unsatisfied GF/BF would say to his/her partner...I know it's obvious etc, but hey... I'd always thought that it was like a kid shouting at his parents,like, the whole "you don't understand me because you're old" issue? Anyhoo, I've now figured that it's like you don't care about "us" as in our relationship, so yay. Also I would like to point out the genius in ryhming "complicated" with "seperate it." Like I said. ok. fair point. there are little bits of sense in this song. But I still have to say that it's not the most coherent thing in the world ever... The point I'm trying to make is that most of the time the chili's don't do song's about a certain topic (except for under the bridge). Anthony Keidis jumble's bits of whatever thoughts go into his head and sculpts them round the tune. I just wish that everynow and again he'd actually sit down and write a song that's completly understandable as well as soulful and deep. When he does you get songs like under the bridge. And no-ones explained the belly dancer line yet... |

I mean...It's fairly common knowledge that most nursery rhmes are about serios matters, and so doing a heavier version of them is bound to be a little freaky. I just think that KoRn liked that idea. Also, how old are the nursery rhmyes that KoRn used in this song. I mean, when did someone sit down and decide to write baabaa black sheep? |

Good song etc. Bush isn't doing the world any favours, but I've read most of this page and all of you (even the bush supporters) seem to be fairly clever people. You know you're shit - but seriosly, the only way to make you're country better is to improve yourselves... Politicians will always be corrupt thats the way of the world: "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts aboslutely..." But if you go out there and tell yourself that you're going to be a better, wiser person, it will rub off on the people around you. They'll becomer wiser and better too, and sooner or later it won't matter which shithead politician the voting majority (essentially the people who don't realise that its them that matters, not thier president) select, because you and you're surroundings will be interessting and beautiful. Knowing about all the shit you're debating is, of course, important, but you can't pretend that it maters more than yourself. Peace... |

I kinda hear you piqbennis, I don't really understand why rap's as popular as it is either. The thing is though, that if you got given the chance to record poetry, add bass and make hundreds of thousands of dollars you would as well. So would I. Rappers are just people who got lucky, and most of them are are probably doing something they enjoy, so good for them, I guess. Rap lovers mostly seem to like rap because of it's image, rather than it's musical quality, but thats OK too. Rap haters are either just jealos of rappers or annoyed by rap lovers because they can't see what all the fuss is about. On the other hand they've got a point, so I guess it all works out in the end... |

I think that the Holy ghosts are more than just blind religion, I think they go right down to basic belief...false hopes and dreams, or maybe even real hopes and dreams. The talk show hosts, granted, are simply material distaction. They are planted in the sand because nothing grows in the sand, and so the ghosts and hosts are in fact pointless, even if interesting. To beautify the foothills...to make the journey more interesting, more of a challenge etc. And shake the many hands. Great album, good song, but when will the world admit that this song, no matter how good the riff, does not make a bollock of sense at all. The lyrics are just random stuff. They do not mean anything. At all. They're just words that sound good together. If you wanted to write a song about the evolution of mankind why exactly would you include the lyrics: "White heat is screaming in the jungle Complete the motion if you stumble Go ask the dust for any answers Come back strong with 50 belly dancers " If you think this song is actually centered around any theme at all, please tell me, because I really can't see it myself... |

I liked the comment about the individual lines not making sense, but the whole song being crystal clear... The whole is greater than the sum of the parts, etc. To me this song is just about diffrent people being in diffrent places, trying to rise above stuff that you feel should be below you.
