| The Beach Boys – A Day In The Life Of A Tree Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| this is a beautiful under-rated piece of work from brian wilson. an environmental plee decades before such matters were really in the public psyche. i can't help feeling that the pessimistic tone of the tree is brian himself. there is an overwelming sense of giving up in these lyrics, and the decade that followed was certainly non productive for wilson. a shame considering the excellent 'surf's up' had finally made it onto record - what else could wilson need as a confirmation of his genius and relevance in popular music? | |

| Bob Dylan – Just Like a Woman Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I would never join a website that would heave me as a member...oh well. After attaining everything possible material wise, Bob needed to turn his wants and desires elsewhere. This song is about Dylans flirtatation with homosexuality in the mid sixties. He had all the desire (for men) as a woman but on at least three occassions (most notably with New York poet Esra Revol) Dylan was unable to perform. Hence, keeping 'pure' like a little girl. It is also known that Dylan's drag name at that time was Queen Mary. The last verse is a clear indication that Dylan had moved out of this phase in his life and was actually embarassed by it...'please don't let on that you knew me...'. This is all. | |
