| Taking Back Sunday – My Blue Heaven Lyrics | 19 years ago |

this song is really starting to bother me, because there's so many ways you could comprehend the lyrics--and i hate not knowing the reason for someone to write a song. agh! yet another reason i really want to meet them...haha. i think the God thing really makes more sense, but a lot of the phrases in here like "adulterous conditions" and "double-standardized suspicion" are open to a lot of different points of view as to what they could possibly represent. this song could be about God, it could be about cheating, it could be about unrequited love, it could be about sex...so many things. it's annoying -.- but i love the song :] |

haha yay i watched it and it was pretty good. the end was quite depressing though. it was really symbolic, however, because as the "interior decorator" is walking into the sea, the only daughter who has ever taken care of her goes after, and it's as if she's taking the responsibility for her mother by volunteering to drown for her again, like she has her whole life. the father's new wife saves her though. in the end, all 3 daughters are standing by the window looking at the water and they say "it's so calm", almost symbolizing that now that their mother is gone, everything is calm again in their love. eeee i love it. |

there's just something about this song... the lyrics explain, more or less, the contrast between one's heart and brain, and how the two fight against each other. your heart is a river that flows from your chest through every organ your brain is the dam and i am the fish who can't reach the cord. ben gibbard is saying that the girl loves him in her heart, but her brain is telling her no and he can't get past it, hence the "fish who can't reach the core" (core is the right lyric...not cord). oh, instincts are misleading you shouldn't think what you're feeling they don't tell you want you know you should want. that part is another example of the "war of head versus heart" (as quoted from crooked teeth :]) very nice. |

oh here we go. he did leave her. Interiors (1978): A psychological study of the effect a mother has on her adult daughters and their mixed and often bitter reactions when their father leaves her for a vibrant but simpler woman. ah ha. problem solved. |

everyone is saying that it was the daughter's wedding but to me it sounds more the like the wedding of her ex-husband to the woman he cheated with. hence the line "He took a lover on a far away beach, while you arranged flowers and chose color schemes" who else would 'he' be? not to mention this part... "The girls were all there; they traded their vows. The youngest one glared with furrowed brow" it sounds like the youngest one is bitter about her father marrying another woman, because i doubt she would be angry about her sister getting married. but i've never seen the movie, so I guess i don't know the whole story. |

i am leaning more toward the moving away and going to college thing, the "live through these letters" kind of clarifies that one. He wants her to say she doesn't care so that maybe it won't hurt much when he leaves ("say you won't care") "come untie the not"...he's saying "if you really want to break up, come do it, i'm not stopping you" Well all that we need is just a reaction It's too much to ask for when there's no attraction anymore If chasing our dreams is just a distraction I want to remember that I know I can't go back ^^In this part he's probably seeing her again and realizing there's no longer attraction and that the dream isn't there anymore and he can't go back to how he used to feel. But yeah, that's just me. |

| Yellowcard – Avondale Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| this song is great! when i thought about it...as you all say it's about dan from i12...i think they're talking about him as the king of avondale, saying life's not a fairy tale and not to treat it that way...and he's kind of answering what dan sang in his song, when he says "i stuck a knife into his back, inventiveness is what i lack"...he's talking about backstabbing him, but kind of the other guy deserving it. | |

This song is absolutely genius. It is my new favorite song and i love it so much! I just discovered it and I've had it stuck in my head for the last week. I absolutely love the lines "finding my own words, my own little stage my own epic drama, my own scripted page ill send you the rough draft, i'll seal it with tears maybe you'll read it and i'll reapear from the start it was shaky, and the characters rash a nice setting for heartache where emotions come last all i have deep inside, to overcome is desired of friendly intentions and fairweathers smiles" Ryan Key has an awesome way of putting his feelings into words!! I think that part means that he is writing almost like a play of his life with her and then sending her the script. WOOOOW i love yellowcard!! i live for them! i can't wait for christmas because i get their DVD!! They're almost like an addiction or something...but a good one! |

| Yellowcard – Breathing Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| i love this song a lot. I can't exactly relate to it because i've never cheated on someone lol..but i love the line "something i've been keeping locked away behind my lips, i can feel it breaking free with each and every kiss". It's awesome! They come up with the most genius lines... | |
| Yellowcard – Empty Apartment Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Ohhh wow i love this song, especially the lines "It's ok to be angry and never let go, it only gets harder the more that you know, when you get lonely and no one's around, you know that i'll catch you when you're falling down, we came together but you left alone and i know how it feels to walk out on your own, maybe someday i will see you again and you'll look me in my eyes and call me your friend" and then it starts on the violin music and i start playing it on my violin!! it sounds sooo cool. The violin makes them totally original, and their songs are pretty easy to pick out on the violin too. | |
| Yellowcard – One Year, Six Months Lyrics | 21 years ago |
