please... please, PLEASE stop arguing about the band. They're musicians, they do this as a job, not just for fun, so they make a living out of this. Just like all the other bands. It's different, DEAL WITH IT. KoRn fan I am, my favorite is the KoRn album, but who gives a damn if Twisted Transistor is different than Helmet in the Bush, IT'S ANOTHER FU-CKING SOOOONG!!!! Bands evolve wether u like it or not.. or what, u want 15 albums of more of the same??? Perhaps you'd all like to burn a single song in a CD -or perhaps a tape, for nostalgic effect??- and listen to it OVER AND OVER AGAIN so it's not influenced by money or contemporary politics, or how the band has a new member??? Jeez, just post sumthing about the meaning please!! Go diss the band in your blogs or with your friends.. Aahhh. hahaha, that was relieving xD IMO the only non-obvious part is "Twisted transistor" and i still dunno what he reffers to. And my favorite line is Your scream's a whisper. I like to think of this song about a girl, anyone actually, dealing with life and problems, finding someone who understands in music. I use music as an escape, maybe that's why I find it this way. And the your scream's a whisper, how many times hasn't anyone felt that way? |

Lyrics people, don't discuss the band :\ In my opinion, the whole song could be summed in the line "Smash is the way you deal with your life." cuz that's what the song says; Smash as in a hit, you deal with your life with energy, "smashing" through everything, as in propisong ideas and creating new things, inventing, not following a trend or a fad, not being told who, how or what to be. And in a very weird parallel universe, they could have been talking about Smash Bros... even though the game didn't exist back then hahaha. Awesome song, great lyrics, fun as hell to play and sing. Gotta love The Offspring. |

Just like any other musicians they can write and play whatever they like, and if the felt they wanted to go with a song about a simple feeling, with Daaron making vocals, I don't see why that makes them a bad band, or trying to be "emo" and that stuff ppl are saying. It's just a song, a good ong, and that's it. Deal with it, and enjoy it instead of saying it doesn't have a profound meaning... cuz it does, and cuz it's a good theme. I think Daaron was just feeling very lonely that thay and he wrote that song. I can relate to this song particularly now since I feel that way, and I sing it over and over. The "most loneliest" thing, imo, is to emphasize the loneliness felt, maybe not the loneliest day of his entire life, but that's how you say it when you feel that way... great song and glad Daaron gets to sing too. This one specific song is..... I dunno. I'm dying here, I feel so sad, I wish I could sing her this song, and make her understand what this means. "I swear that I can go on forever again. I think this is one of Blink's best songs. The line "you'll be sorry when I'm gone" has a ver important meaning, of course, but even i didn't read aaaall the posts here, cuz they're a lot, i read a big bunch and none says that Judas said those words to Jesus before he killed himself. You should think about it too. Oh, and for several years i never thought of it as a suicide song, just as a sad song and I took all the lines and saw how they matched to myself when I was all down, or angry. I think this song [and all others] should be interpreted as you want or as it suits better for one. To me, as I said, wasn't suicide, so I never though of killing myself with this song; instead I thought of it something like this: First he has friends, a gf, family, etc., hes not alone, when suddenly they abandon him and thats why he never thought he'd die alone, not that he's dying already, but that he thinks he'll be lonely until he dies., and he's just so irritated he laughs at ir, it's so ridiculous and stupid this situation, that he can't help laughing, probably ending with tears... who would have imagined they'd abandon him? And he feels betrayed, like they never really cared for him [when he really sought the cord and realized it had never been plugged in] so he sort of wants to do something so they feel his pain, so he'll leave [not die, just go away for example moving away on purpose saying he wants to go to the university faraway] and they will all be sorry and see their mistakes and how they hurt him. He longs for the days when he was still happy, when he was 16 [I really identify with this... my 16 to 18 years were so happy and now... :( ] and he and his "friends" and/or girlfriend wanted to do new things, see the world... but now it's all over and he just wants to go home again, though he'll still be alone. The next part I also thought of it like leaving the house, first for 6 months, when they'd now remember him and realize their flaws, but he doesn't wants his mom to suffer or think it's her fault, cuz he loves her and she's different. I think our moms, in spite of errors, bad stuff, anything, will always be our moms and will always love us, no matter what. And that's all, I just think it's a sad song, not necessarily talks about suicide but yes of a new life, perhaps "dying" and getting a new life, forgetting all the people that had hurt him and now trying to be happy again. One more thing, stop saying stupid things, this is about commenting song meanings not stupid shit about how some bads suck and stuff, hahaha. Just enjoy the music you idiots! It's not like if you think it sucks and somebody else doesn't, then the world is just fucked up and you should do something about it like saying stupid things in a post. JUST RELAX AND ENJOY THE MUSIC!!! A piece of advice: learn how to play guitar, bass, drums... u name it, and discover that any music is fun to play. That's it, HAVE FUN YOU PEOPLE!!!!! [The Ðjin] |

This is a very important song for me and my band, cuz its the last song we played together as a band beore we all went to university. Our vocals, Gaby Lohman has an awesome voice and sang this one, BEAUTIFUL. There was no piano, though, I played all the piano part with arpeggios in my guitar. There was a bass and a voilin. Honestly, it was inspiring. I love this song, and makes me cry sometimes. My girlfriend left me 2 months ago, after the most beautiful relationship ever, after 2 and a half years. I'm so sorry about that. I'd love to see Amy Lee in a concert and singing that song. Hope they come to Mexico. [The Ðjin] |
