sounds somewhat tacky compared to other nofx songs, and if its a cover of an 80's synth band that would explain alot :P but certainly has its good parts. |

yes its an awesome song with an extremely relevant meaning if you look at it closely. they use analogy to show that the miserable state of the world has come about over time and we've just let it happen because it was profitable at the time.
"the things we never tried to disallow have come back to haunt us now"
shows that the government has failed us and we were supporting them all along. very powerful line at the end
"we all made this bed, now we got nowhere to lay" |

and awesome song and one of my favourites (there is so many) i agree with dsmeathers, it is about over-achievers. sounds great, and like many other nofx songs has much more to offer the deeper you look into it |

awesome song... i cant believe that nobody has posted about it yet... i wanna know what he means by "the bag". i get the vibe that in this song he is pondering the insignificance of life, or maybe he is bored with the things that once brought him joy. i dunno, i want other peoples opinions |

Actually I think its a bit different to what has already been said. Yes, the song is talking about the beer goggle effect, however I think waking up with Bo Diddley (a male performer) means that the person slept with a transexsual.
The line "A couple Melons in tube socks and buggley eyes" (fake breasts) would support this theory :) Tell me what you think. |
