When we met Dallas Green a few months ago, I asked him why this song sounded so different than anything else on the album and he said that the vocals were done by the singer of another band. I cannot, for the life of me, remember who he said did them. Someone with the album in front of them might be able to look at the Thank you section and find out. I'm sorry if this was plainly obvious, but I thought I'd throw it out there. |

am i the only one that noticed the pause and then the resumed playing near the end... because if this has to do with forgiveness, and rebirth and whatnot.... couldn't this "new verse" be symbolic? maybe it means he's finally accepted what will happen... |

Good question Mr. Comment Box: I could go with the popular answer: a. oh-em-gee, MCR(the cool way to write it) is like ..so totally hotttttttttttt(insert even more t's) this song is sooo good! its so deep.....!!! orrrr...the "piss people off answer" b. I used to like this band, and I am now really curious as to why... they suck, the other cd(which i thought had good lyrics at the time, wrong.) sucked also. this one sucks even more. it's nothing more than generic recycled garbage. I mean, recycling melodies is okay. but at least COME UP WITH YOUR OWN AND DONT RECYCLE A WHOLE GENRE WORTH OF MELODIES. at least on the last album, there was a cool intro on Thanks for the Venom. this album...nothing. lyrically, the music can't get any simpler. go back and look at the other album...is it still as deep and complex as you thought? look at Give em' hell kid...is it really that interesting now? NO! and if you cry at these lyrics..my god. you're a pansy.... it isn't even all that sad. he doesn't put enough..care into the song.. it shows, to me at least. so in short. F**k MCR. they suck...go listen to something worthwhile...lyrically: dashboard, say anything...etc. musically:Bullet for my valentine(i doubt you'd like many of the harder bands than that if you listen to MCR.), even atreyu for christs sake |

on second look, i think the whole song is about how like, we need to do something...cast off the crutch that kills the pain, i guess kinda like...take off the blindfold so you can see what's going on around you, the tighten the noose part...like...the red flag waving is telling us all to get up and do something about it before they completely tighten the noose around us....cuz the youth is what society is built on...it's saying, ya...kids can make a difference...like the PAWN checkmates the king, well i mean the pawn can win the game, even though it's the lowest person, and the smallest bee, although small, can still kill if you're allergic, and i think the whole song is just screaming anarchy! the WE DONT NEED THEM may be talking about the adults or the government, could be kinda an anarchist revolution or maybe even peter panish :P....light the fires to the revolution....the whole sequence there like a madman needs a martyr, etc. like a lawyer, needs a liar....it's saying THEY NEED US, but we don't need them.... ahh...sorry for rambling and the multiple posts.....:P...shoulda made one big one..... happy thinking! :P lol |
