Just when you think things are getting better... sooner or later, they're going to "bring us down" He also puts in his own views how "It don't matter what you see, I know I could never be someone that'll look like you" That's just my perspective though. |

I think Corey put himself in soldier's shoes in this song. Being that Corey Taylor is very anti-war I wouldn't doubt it. He's pretty much expressing how a soldier would feel during his time served and how it's affecting him. Very emotional as everyone says. One of my favorite songs by Stone Sour as well. |

This song put an entirely different meaning when me and my girlfriend broke up. I think it's one those "don't know what you got till its gone songs" He's regretting how he thought he lost feelings for her but realizes that he loved her more than ever now that shes gone. At the the same time he feels good about it because it made him realize that he really did love her more than he thought. That's my personal opinion on the meaning of the song. |

Chester said in an interview on the AOL sessions that they don't really have their own meanings to any of their songs. They feel that all their songs have a different meaning to different people which makes the songs more personal to the people. LP does not just make great music but they make great music for a great reason which really gets me about the band. |

I don't get it. People get pissed when a band changes their sound (e.g Metallica, Slipknot, Mudvayne) but it's the same people that complain about bands sounding the same. Make up your fuckin minds. If the music sounds good then listen to it. Stop paying attention to the band itself and listen to the music for what it's meant for....to actually listen to the music. |

Well I never did say that being money hungary was a bad thing. Some people want to get tons money just so they can give most of it to charity and to people who need it the most. I can really care less if Bono is a greedy little bastard or a has a heart of a pillow. Ive already explaind myself that i dont listen to the band...i listen to the bands music.

The reason why these kids like to blame it on the music is because most of the time thats the only ''reasonable'' excuse they can come up with becaue they know that if they attack the music industry they know that the music industry will get in trouble...not the kids who actualy committed the crime.
They know that the government dont like a lot of Marilyn Manson, NIN or any ''influensive'' band out there so in a way its like the government saying ''this is our chance to attack the music industry'' while they forget why this whole thing got started in the first place because their egos are only set on one thing and thats the thing they hate. I remember ''back in the day'' where no matter what anybody said, if you commited a crime your ass is grass. Now its like ''I did it because AC/DC told me to do it.''

We are living in a money hugary society but i dont think they wrote this song to get money....like iv'e said before, they know that a song like this wouldnt be brought out to the public because the FCC wouldnt even give it a second thought. The only time I get offended, is when other people get offensive. Iv'e said before; just because you don't like something doesn't mean you have to complain about it. If you don't like it then don't look at it. If you take these mild lyrics offensively(trust me I've heard worse) then you have the freedom to choose not to look at it. And don't give non of that "but the kids will hear it" bullshit either. It's the parents responsibility to make the kids avoid any "harmful or aldulturated content" that my influnence them in the wrong way for any reason the parent may see. Although the way some of these parents raise their children, the children deserves to see shit like this. God people, sometimes you make me think that you work for the FCC. I think the problem with sterotypes is that they're too many of them. Too many punks. Too many emos. Too many gangsters. Too many death metal-...ers.......anyway...what im trying to say is that the more sterotypes, the more arguments. Its more of a "uh huh; uh uh" thing when it comes to lyrics and music.
Thats what i like about protesting...its fun to watch....you have a group of people (no matter how big) thinking that going out with home-made cardboard signs, going against something they dont like, and pubicaly complaining about it, is going to make a difference...now thats a sterotype that i really enjoy.
