I like the Public Enemy sample:.Sublime showing their diversity of influences which is quality and part of the reason i love Sublime. I also love the line "i don't gamble but i bet, i'm gonna die if i dn't get a cigarette". I think it's about a realtionship which has grown boring and in which he doesn't feel respected so he fantasizes about how it will end cos he thinks it will end soon. I don't get what the last two lines are about... |

i thought this song was about the deaths of close friends or loved ones and the struggle to come to terms with that "your lives were taken to early and you will always be missed ". When a person close to you dies it's hard to justify that they have been taken from you whilst others live on but thesong reflects on the influence the person had on Tim/Rob's life. I think this song is really beautiful and a real tribute to any loss. The last verse especially highlights how i personally felt to suffer the loss of a friend. |

It's pretty ironic that Tim Armstrong should sing about backstabbing in this period of his life right before Bridy left him for Josh Homme. Obviously this song is about misplaced trust and the want for revenge. I can identify with that about many people. I like the line "One thing about you, I can't wait till you're dead" . Also, all the violent imagery used; "I say we line 'em all up, then we gun 'em all down Then we all celebrate when they all hit the ground " This is cool because it emphasises the way death is celebrated throughout the song. "Two-faced motherfucker gets both jaws cracked " That's some clever shit LS. That's some clever shit. |
