| I have always had this song on my comp. for a while..after listening to it once..i wanted to figure out how to play it. The intstrumental part blew me away..isaac not trying to impress..but just sounding awesome..nothing to complicated. This song was the easiest way to describe..me. .. No one seems to like this MM aspect (lyrically that is) that much..Specially since i go to..a private school full of kids who like the regular mainstream music, being in middle school and all. Now as interstate 8 hangs on my wall is something i tresure the most..Well..i dunno..all i can say is modest mouse is awesome and so is this song. It helps me think that the world is hopeless..yet is kinda reasuring that even under all the pressure you can still have fun and make the most o' life . | |

Yeah Matt sharp is awesome..and well he did sue weezer from what i know..Of course..With A person..like rivers...Matt sharps basslines were awesome..the bass really doesn't stand out as anything anymore in weezer. This song is awesome...Pinkerton b-side or good life..w/e but that keyboard makes it awesome..and that solo.. Yeah I think as weird as rivers is ..queer..i suppose of course rivers being a harvard student Schrodinger could deffinitly be right..he might just be analyzing it from the girls perspective |

Alright now..Rivers was hopefully not writing this awesome song about something as stupid as drugs. He's a geek.Being a weezer fan since like 6, This has deffinitly been one of my favorites..even 6 years later...Not so much the build up (even though everyone knows its one of the awesomest solo's weezer has done besides tired of sex), it's the kinda regular verse w/ the soft lyrics that just makes it awesome ... I think the meaning is kinda what MDT was kinda saying..I think it has to be friend..because of "ride home" Rivers being maybe not the start of geek rock..but a big stepping stone in it..Probably dreams of having this kinda thing happen. |
