im at binni's level on this, except, i can see the betrayal being something that cant be pinned on. meaning, perhaps the person betrayed themselves into thinking there was something more, something better. and its so painful... im not sure beyond this point. it took me so long to interpret this song and look past the sheer epic scale of it. |

it doesnt matter that the lyrics dont translate well in the song (ive been trying to find the name and artist for 2 weeks now!)... its beautiful and hypnotic... shes a siren. canadian enya or not, this has worked its way into my regular rotation. |

easily one of the most mesmerizing, captivating and beautiful songs ive ever heard in my life. the instrumental version, Avalyn II is twice as long. i found this when searching exactly what AVALYN meant: http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node=avalyn i think its about dreams, not the hope, but the actual place where dreams take place... and nightmares for that matter. the entire mood of the piece gives off an aura of being higher or levitating, as though you could close your eyes and open them on some astral plane surrounded by clouds in the sky. lovely song. though i like the instrumental more, it doesnt detract much from this version. |

ive always heard this song in 4 respective parts according to verses. the first is observation, or being one with the people and crowd. the second is questioning as to motives... what drives a person to do such a thing. the third is biased judgement (or just judgement) to the accused. and the forth is reflection... trying to make sense of it in order to let go. |

its very surprising they took such an honest approach. thought id not yet played the game upon hearing it, the lyrics looked as though it would have soundeed different. the honest thing i think of is unwillingly being controlled. and as for big boss, the descent into what would be outer heaven (a way to fall). its more sorrowful than angst and it works much better this way. i get a lot of different things from this song, but first impressions are stated above. im sure there is more that will come in time. |

death is what i can gather from the lyrics. but not fear of it, welcoming. or maybe not death, but some lyrics seem to point towards that. i recall Fight Club "Dark, Silent and Complete" and come back to this. the sound of the song is not dim or gloomy for me, but accepting. |

i love this song as well. my first listen i couldnt do anything but listen to tarja over and over for 2 hours straight. but one thing has always puzzled me... what is the significance of 222? a third of 666? i thought that first but it seemed too immature. does anyone know this? |
