i definately think its about amy lee, i think that fakin it just to fit in is to simplistic and maybe thats wat its supposed 2 sound like but not the true meaning, esp wen he talks about givin up your dreams along the way, who knows maybe they always talked about starting a family or w/e. it can also be about the guitarist who quit the band. just a couple of ideas |

i never thought about the meaning, just always found it as an upbeat song that always put me in a good mood and makes me "shake a little". but after reading it over i thik its about not letting life pass you by, run for the hills before they burn, Listen to the sound of the world, don’t watch it turn. jss sounds like someone saying dont juss watch everything else around you, experience life w/ everyone else. |

i get so pissed everytime i read rolling stone says its about suicide cuz u cant c things clearer if ur fuckin dead. its about breaking free from the pain and starting over again. this song unleashes such a beast in me because i feel so powerful, broke up w/ a chick about a month ago nd i was hooked for a lil while. id listen 2 this song wanting 2 relate it 2 her but knew i coodnt cuz i wasnt over her, now that i am i listen 2 it nd chillin w/ friends nd meetin new ppl is makin me c things so much clearer now shes in my rearview fuckin mirror :D |

1st off i wanna say that i think submersed is musics best kept secret. after seeing them open up for alter bridge ive been hooked. somehow they still get no mainstream attention at all(sux bein in NJ where all radio is pop nd hip hop). well that bein said i think the song is 1 of those hate love relationships. some1 drives u nuts and the worst part of it all is deep down u need em. basicly some1 who doesnt apreciate wat u do but gives u shit for wat u dont yet u still love em. |
