anyway, more importantly than English class, my absolute favorite line in this song is No one ever plans to sleep out in the gutter Sometimes thats just the most comfortable place. it just hit me really hard and it's just one of those lines that you hear yourself repeating in your head, and when you're crying your eyes out you hear that line and it slows down your tears... and the ending! purely amazing! i play trumpet and drumset, (and alto saxophone, but that's irrelevant), and as a true musician, that is just an amazing moment of music, life, emotion, passion. as a jazz musician, i know what passion through music sounds like and that is most definitely it. i think that in the first three lines, he's saying that he can see how they are meant for each other, and the next lines kinda back that up saying "look at how god made us, no wonder we're perfect together." then after that he's saying, "yeah, it seems silly, but what else am i to do when i'm not with you?" then i think he's saying that this song was meant for us, you'll know it when you hear it, and i hope it floods you with memories of us." and the chorus....it's amazing! to me, it's saying "we're in love, i'm addicted to you, let's never leave each other, or forget about this feeling, even if no one else understands." then he goes on to say that what he has to say would be better reflected if he said all of this in person, because she can really read every syllable and facial expression and sound he makes and whatever better in person, and she needs to understand those in order for him to feel that he has truly gotten out what he wanted to say. but that's just me. :) TPS is a great band, i wish i had discovered them earlier. |

| i'm not a terribly big fan of stereotypical wrist-slicing "look at me i shop at hot topic" kind of songs, and i really don't like SOTY's sound, but even i have to push away my pride for a minute and admit that SOTY has amazing lyrics. very beautiful. it's a pity i don't like their sound. | |

| I think it's a great song, and Jem has such an amazing voice. When she says "ignorance is bliss", i think she's being sarcastic, and she really doesn't mean it. this sounds like it would be a good opening song for an anime. :) | |

| it's a beautiful song and i think that anyone who loves it should be able to sing it however they like to sing it without getting criticized for doing things a little differently. music isn't meant to be a selfish thing, music is meant to be shared with the world! however, a lot of you are insinuating that just because one person does something one way, it's wrong and stupid for someone else to do it a different way. grow up. | |
