Anyone else think that the "may I have your attention please" part and the guitar "solo" sounds a lot like Green Day's "American Idiot?" I'm wondering if Sum41 is taking a sarcastic tone towards GD's "political activism." If they're making fun of Green Day with this song, I love it. |

If you want to see the video, pick up In Flames' Trigger EP, it's a 5-song CD but also has the videos to Trigger and Cloud Connected. |

I just picked up the Trigger EP and I was blown away when I first heard this song. Trigger is probably one of the best In Flames songs I've heard, and I own Soundtrack to Your Escape, Colony, and The Tokyo Showdown to boot.
This is a typical In Flames song lyric-wise, just Anders going on about trying to live life and, like others have said, does it in his Buddhist-ripoff fashion. It's still a good song, though. |

| Taking Back Sunday – Cute Without The 'E' (Cut From The Team) Lyrics

I wouldn't take anything amp_322 says at face value. He's the kind that is just on here to joke around and has no clue just what kind of song Cute Without the E is, considering the only point he makes is about the lyrics "clever napkin". This is a thread for writing your opinion on the content and impact of the song, not if you think "Taking Back Sunday sucks" or "hey, the words 'clever napkin' are the most redundant, cliche' paired-together words of adjective and noun in the English language." Give me a break. And amp, give it a break. Nobody wants to hear what you have to say since you know absolutely nothing about this song. |

I think it's basically bashing corporate America. The fact that global companies survive because they're unbiased, very different from a lot of American companies. While a lot of global companies focus on delivering the best product possible, Americans produce goods for the highest price. |

| In Flames – The Quiet Place Lyrics

This song is really good, but it's on a mediocre album. I personally believe Colony is their best album out there, but back to the song.
The Quiet Place is just an escape, so to speak. The album's name, Soundtrack to Your Escape, is probably derived from this song. The fact that Frieden finds solace and a "quiet place" in his mind is a nice juxtaposition, but the song isn't that deep. Overall, it's lyrical content is so-so, and the musical content is decent, but this album did disappoint me. It's not bad, it's just not what I'm used to from In Flames. |

Woody Guthrie would be the original artist to these lyrics. AF did a great job with them, as well as The Terror State in general. AF's best album to date. |
