I live in Cali and people around here say that "Hotel California" is an old run down mental hospital, and kids go there in hopes to get spoked out by some old lingering ghosts. Now, I highly doubt that the Eagles were talking about this specific place, but lots of teenagers go the and return with scary stories. My sister went to this hospital and she said she was scared crapless because you have to park your car and walk through a field for like a mile and a half and thats more freaky than the hospital itself. I want to go to it but I dont know where it is and my sister doesnt want to go back. Back to the meaning of the song, I think the LA music business one is most likely to be true, but I think the church storie is cooler. Hey does anybody know what im talking about with the hospital thing? |

frankly i am pissed of that no talent rapper p diddy or whatever he calls himself thesedays, ripped off such a great song. and he takes credit for how he was a mastermind for doing dip shit. not only did he bucher a gr8 song but 4 a dam soundtack 2 a movie! I mean come on! I dont no what leaves a worst taste in my mouth; the fact that a lame rapper butchered a classic zep song; or the fact that Page actually allowed this defilement to go on, and he even appears in the video! what has the world come to? not to mention that Zeppelin has a notorious reputation 4 not letting anyone mess with thier songs, I wonder if the rest of the band were mad at Page 4 giving diddy permision to do that. I think that Jack Black did the right thing in School of Rock was awsome, the whole movie is about honorring rock and roll, and i think Jack paid tribute to the Immagrant Song in a justified way, not to mention I was laughing my ass off. I dont no how i feel about the Caddalic ads using Zepp's Rock and Roll. Let me no how u guys feel, if u agree and disagree. |

I have read the LOTR books and I am tired of all these LOTR fans thinking every Zeppelin song has to do with LOTR, but I do think that this is the only Zep song that is about LOTR, and also i read in a recent interview with Page, that Plant was really the only member of the band that was a hardcore LOTR fan. |

I love the song, and i think that the history thing is right, i think its stupid to say that the song is about sex, because if u try hard enough u can make almost any song have a double meaning for sex. |
