| i can't believe no one has commented on this yet! this song is beautiful, and easy to relate to. Everyone I think has had a significant other, friend, family member etc, who has depended on them for way more than they should have. The speaker in this song doesn't want to be that pillar of support anymore, and tells the other person that they have to go out into the world by themselves and take care of their own life for a change. | |

| isn't this site for song meanings ? well it's pretty clear that this song is about a guy who realizes that he's really hurting his girlfriend. He acknowledges that he keeps breaking promises and hurting her. Even though he realizes it, and that's half the battle, he can't seem to make sure it is actually the last time. | what do you mean you haven't heard from live after this album? sure they're not AS popular, but they recently had a hit off of their album: "Birds of Pray", and other albums after Throwing Copper did decently well. They're still touring and rocking hard. You should check out their new stuff. | |
