I love this song - I was on Evanescence's website the other day and they seem to have a different lyric... "I take a breath and I try to turn off what my spirits will. Yet how can you refuse to drink like a stubborn child" Now - I know the first line isn't right, but I can now hear her saying "Yet how can you..." hmm...bizarre? Perhaps it's just me lol! |

| Just listening to the acoustic version of this and it's absolutely great, but escence I think you were right in the original lyrics - it sounds like "Shame we hide our eyes"...especially with the line that follows..."to blind them from the truth" - i dunno, just sounds like it, I could be wrong lol | |

Just out of curiosity, and correct me if I'm wrong, but in the second verse, isn't it "I breathe deep and cry out" instead of "Shudder deep and cry out"? At least, that's what it sounds like! Love this song though, very meaningful. Glad it was released on Anywhere But Home... |
