I really don't like this song. The video was a little strange. In this video, his face was very mutilated already...I feel so bad for him because he was such a great performer..and we can never have the old michael jackson back! But in the video, he and a friend liked a girl, he was going after her. She was part of some kind of gang or something...at the end, the building blew up and he saw the girl he was singing to. He told her he was glad she was safe. Not his best... |

Great and great video. Even though he is a strange guy now, he was a great performer. I rather care about his music than his personal life. I love watching his videos, but sometimes I wish the old michael Jackson never changed! He should have stopped around the time the "black and white" video was made, as far as changing his appearance goes. Poor guy..but yea..great song! |

They probably don't want to say they are a Christian band, if they are in their hearts, because that would lose the respect of those "hard rockers" who worship Satan. Not saying all of them do, but most of them are proud of the fact.
So for me, this song is about Jesus. It's a song about his final days. But when asked, Chevelle isn't going to say that, because that would prove they ARE a Christian band, so they are vague by saying that it's a song about claustriphobia.
But in any case, they are an awesome band, my favorite band. And the video to this song was very cool. It was about a little boy who caught butterflies and put them in a jar. He had a collection of dead butterflies on the wall, very nicely mounted. But one of the butterflies, it was a girl that was costumed as an angel, she was still alive and trying to pull the pin out from her stomach. The boy saw her and helped her, then set her free. Then the display box was empty. So this very well goes with the claustraphobic theme, because the girl was trapped in the box. But with a lot of Chevelle songs, there are double meanings.
Great band, though. Great band. |

I am not one of those "Jesus freaks" or anything, but after reading the lyrics, I feel it is a song about Jesus. A lot of little clues kind of make me feel that way, but I could be totally wrong of course. Also, has anyone seen the video? It looks like someone has a flashlight, but I don't understand why the guy is on fire, and the girl just looks on.
I feel like in the beginning he realizes that his success is nothing compared to gaining salvation. And when he talks about the "loss", its probably referring to Christ and then the part that goes "‘Cause he’ll pay for it, the whole sum", is probably alluding to the crucifixion. That's just my opinion. I wish i knew the real intent behind the song. Chevelle's lyrics are almost always hard to decipher. They use so much metaphors and imagery.
But it is truly a beautiful song. |

This is a good song, very sad though. I have read a lot of theory's here, but I really don't understand what is going on with Eminem, and others, and who was the man in the video dying...

I think this song is pretty cool, not the best, you know? But he made many good points in his song, he is expressing himself like all artists. I was hoping he reached more young voters, but oh well, i guess. i didnt really like the video. those cartoon people kind of bothered me. did you see the shady national convention? I dont know, but he didn't seem to have an agenda. I guess it was a concert? not sure. but yea, mosh is a good song, but like i stated, not the best..but very very anti bush and oh so right, lol (at least for me, of course everyone is different) |

some lyrics are nice, but i hate when shakira started to sing in english. she sounds horrible! But i do love her voice when she sings in spanish. she needs to stop dying her hair blonde and stick to her true roots! Trying to look like aguilera or spears is nothing to be proud of! |
