To me this song is talking about how God is callings us to Him. He is ours if we take Him, but we, at times, can be stubborn and walk away from him saying "someday". (You were always a "someday"). That is what this song means to me. God is awesome. |

To me this is talking about our sinful nature and how it traps us in its filthy snares. It is a disease that only Christ can cure. |

| Rackets & Drapes – Dead Horse Lyrics

This song is talking about how some preachers, evangalists and churches will use the Word of God to get money. Claiming that the more they give the more God will bless them. These people/churches also completely ignore those who have no money and who are in need. This type of ministry is full of evil and lies. R&D is pretty much saying, "Get off your high horse...it is dead." The horse, being a metaphor for their ministry. |

| Rackets & Drapes – Children Of The Damned Lyrics

This sums it all up: Here's is Kandi's(lead singer) description of this song. "C.O.D........God Bless the Children of the Damned. The Therapy Patient Anthem, and what other title could even come close to fitting? Really? In the recent events that have taking place on the board, all the mud slinging and such, this song should become even more clearer than ever. If you look closely at each line, these are names or things people have called us over the years.....madness, sadness, darkness, outcasts.....trying to find words and ways to describe what they don't like or think is "christian". Vampires? Sure. Many TP's who have come from the cutting background are represented here as well. They have said we are sickness spreading a disease, rather a bad doctrine or belief. We stand alone. These names or titles they have deemed unto us is because as you have seen lately, we are going to hell. I am leading you astray. How funny is that? But no matter what anyone says, if you have a personal relationship with the Lord, you are saved and nothing else matters. I say, God bless you. I know you and love you. Does the song now make more sense? It's very basic and too the point. We are lost in misery? More like some are in depression. We cut ourselves to bleed to be vampires? More like some have to escape pain that many would never understand. We are sickness, spreading our disease? More like they don't like us for whatever reason and we are wrong. This song isn't about who we truly are. It's about how the church has perceived us to be without even getting to know us. A quick look, and a fast judgement. All because they haven't taken the time to look deeper and understand us. They say if you are a Therapy Patient and support us, you along with us are headed to hell. We are damned. But with one loud voice, we come together and stand alone. We are a family in Christ, the outcasts and degenerates. Let them say what they will. Damned? I hardly think so. So God Bless You Children of the Damned. What's ironic is that this song has taken on such a bigger meaning now more than ever. Don't ya think Godscaring? You can spit out all the garbage you want. But you can never take away our salvations. You can assume and accuse, but you can never stop us from loving the Lord. " Amen, Kandi. |

What I got out of it is the witches were sins. These are sometimes called skeletons, hence "And I see witches within
Everybody's closet" Burn your witches, to me, is about getting rid of your sin. |

To me this song is talking about Christ accepting all into His kingdom no matter how bad they are. Christ loves us all and wants us to love Him and accept Him as our Lord and Savior. We don't have to change to come to Christ. Just come as you are. |

This too is a song about abortion, just from the perspective of the baby. This also talks about a big reason for abortions in young mothers: pressure. Pressure from their parents and pressure from their peers and boyfriends. If anyone is considering an abortion or you know someone that is, go to abortiontv.com. There is some good information there. There are alot of pictures there not intended for children under 12. |

This is a song talking about abortion. How the government has legalized it ("Murder in the first degree
You have legalized
You pretend not to hear
All the children's cries"
This was from their debut album "Candyland". This is my absolute favorite band. They have done some much for me through their music and other ways. They are great people. God truly was behind all of their music. |

| Virgin Black – Whispers Of Dead Sisters Lyrics

Wow. This is a very moving song. This talks about how even those who are saved and are faithful still have moments of weakness. We still sin and we are not perfect. Sometimes these sins can eat at us but we still do them. God still loves us and we are no less saved because we are not perfect. And as Rowan said, "Yet I'm still here despite the pain
I refuse to believe I was called to suffer...
I was called... to prosper." Even though Christians endure persecution our calling is to prosper...in Christ. |

To me this is talking about the fire of God that is deep within His Children to tell people about Him. "And the ways of God, shriek out of tune" This part here is in reference to how God's ways are not the ways of the world. "All is lost but hope" That hope is God. |

To me, this is talking about holding on to our faith in God despite all the things we go through in life. I could have totally missed the point here, but this is what I gathered from it. Did anyone get anything different from this song? |

I think this song is speaking of Christ's return. "His body will cradle his bride's
in frailty as I await his kiss
mortality ebbs from me"
This, to me, is most definitely talking about the rapture and/or the second coming of Christ. |

| Virgin Black – A Saint Is Weeping Lyrics
| 21 years ago

This is a very powerful song. Here Rowan is describing how terrible and worthless he is in the presence of God. How unworthy he feels to recieve God grace. He says, "If I see the face of God I will die! " He knows that if he sees the face of God, another way of saying accepting Christ, then he will die. And you see at the end: And somewhere, a saint is weeping
Whispering my name
Saying, "Let him see the face of God
Let him die."
A verse sums up all of this. "If Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin but the Spirit is Life because of righteousness." Romans 8:10
You must "see the face of God" and die in order to live. |

I agree with Fetus. I do believe however that "Walk through my soul" is a way of asking Christ to move through us. Virgin Black is one of the greatest bands around today. Lyrically and musically. God is truly moving through them all. |
