| The Used – Take It Away Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I think it's actually begging for the opposite of suicide, if you notice at the start you hear the gun load, and then he appropriately shouts "Get Down!!" And yes I know this is a very common screamed term, but yeah, it really makes sense if you think of it in the context of avoiding the bullet. To be specific about the song is hard though, as there is a few themes. But to me, it seems that the "take it away" etc... is referring to the need for a relationship to take away the loniless etc... | |

| I'd much prefer it if he was saying "you", hehe. Cause I don't really see In Flames as a negative band. | |

Hmm, what kind of annoys me is that he actually says... "You take a knife and carve it in" Yet the lyrics say... "Take a knife and carve it in" If you include the "you" it's more of a positive song. If you read it the way it is written in the lyrics, it seems as if he's telling him to take a knife and carve it in. But he certainly says "you". So I think he's actually saying the guy he's talking about takes a knife and carves it into his skin, rather than him telling this person to do so. Just listen, he definitely says "you". |

I think you're all hitting the mark. -------- The lines I love are... "There would be colonies mushroom-scattered forever out of context rising spores from a dying world to pollute to chase away what´s left " Pre-Colony (as in the album) hints maybe? -------- "and the privilege of a 22-kilometre tombstone " I figured this is sarcasm, like the privilege of being crushed by a 22-kilometre building as your tombstone. Like it's obvious what it's saying, but I never figured it was sarcasm till just now. Clever. -------- "A body of black that carried no reflection defying its own room un-earthly eggs of decreation " Clearly describing how it's not noticed (it carries no reflection and defies room, it appear to take up no space, yet in fact it does... no way of being traced). -------- "and the absence of excuses for a havoced life" This is a line I would like to figure out, but I can't find the word havoced anywhere, though I've only being looking in English dictionaries and such. |

Wow!! I think Iceburn is right, this also fits in, kinda stangely. "In the space between his body and the ground comets cast of their names, stellar neurones misfire" All the "potential names"... comets represent the "potential" humans that have been "misfired", so to speak ;). |

lacerate, I'm almost certain Kaio is spot on. Colony is more about the future worries (Colony, Insipid 2000 etc...). I think STYE uses a lot of "computer terms" that are actually metaphorically used to relate to real life... think "Borders and Shading", it makes sense ;). |
