This song smacks my bitch up. Like a lot of Pumpkins' songs it makes me feel like I can do anything and any emotion I'm feeling deep down is going to pass and none of it matters. Anyone noticed how this song is called "Thru the Eyes of Ruby" and the next song "Stumbleine" ends with the lyrics "Come around Ruby, I could never sleep alone". Did Corgan say it was a concept album? Cause its kind of unclear, sometimes he's said it is, sometimes he's said it isn't. Anyway, this song is truly amazing. PUMPKINS FOREVER!!! |

VektorW, I'll agree that some of the songs you listed are kinda happy, but.. dude, Galapagos, Thirty-Three and In the Arms of Sleep, depress me for some reason. Tonight Tonight is amazing though, it makes you feel so many different emotions at once. The main one being transcendence.. But yeah, this song is amazing. Captures everything you ever feel when you're in love with someone: Love is suicide. The vocals are also incredible in this. I think when the song goes semi-quiet, he's saying something like "Destroy, disarm, deny" underneath "love is suicide". |

This is one of my favourite songs of all time (Along with Hummer). I've no idea what it's about really, but it makes me feel like I can do anything in the whole world, it's truly amazing. I agree with DeathRockBoy, it is such a Pumpkinesque song with that nice guitar sound. And yeah, the song does remind me of flowers and sunshine even without hearing the lyrics. Pumpkins are one of the greatest bands in history, Billy Corgan will live forever. |

I love this song so much. It's the first song on Siamese Dream I ever got into (before I discovered Mayonaise and Hummer). I love all the lyrics and his vocals are frickin' ORGASMIC. Especially the "I'll never be" and "To relax and fade away" bits. No idea what it's about but it fuckin rules. And a lot of the lines in the song apply to me so there it goes as one of my favourites on my favourite album. |
