our love is like water, pinned down and abused for being strange: could be gay, could be a prostitute, or anything. There are alot of people in odd relationships... Maybe it's a cousin :p |

Darling I believe Sometimes it's hard to breathe At the bottom of the sea possibly a comparation of religious beliefs, the fact that this is true is given. Also, the word "sometimes" suggests that this belief pales in comparison to the belief in god |

Probabbly not the real meaning, just an out of context insight by a firend of mine about the chorus: The redwood tree represents religion, as a shelter during crisis. The first two lines of the chorus represent prayer, asking one's god for help. The next say that religion has always been their for minor problems (when we were young - simplicity of youth). The next 2 describe an impending crisis (A tree will shelter you in the sun, and in light rain, but in heavy rain it would be no good). The next two lines are, despite this, turning to it as if it were the be all and end all of problems Basically, religion is useful for life's challenges, but not as useful during a major crisis |

one more thing: its_big_and_black: what the hell is wrong with you? at least some people have tried to argue their point! Do you have a mental defect? have you even reached puberty yet? |

as for rock being dead... i disagree, rock looks very much alive to me. Rock is not just a fad, it's a style of music that people enjoy. Rock will never be dead while there are still people who listen to it, and as long as that happens there will always be people who get together with friends and instruments and play. Until all that stops, rock will never be truly dead. As for the debate on who's music is better, what are you people, 12 years old? Music can never compared with music, except maybe by the size of the fan base. But everyone's taste is different, and nobody can prove that any kind of music is superior and one more thing: doing it for money or for music, religious or non religious, odd masks or no odd masks: who gives a fuck. Either u like their music or you dont |

| get_it_out_for_u: I come from New Zealand, a small country of about 4 million people. There are exceptions, but most of the time, music doesn't go very far from the immediate area. It's not that it sucks (well as far as the pop goes, it's no worse than any of the other pop thats around), it's just the way the industry works. anyway, as a result, you have to be doing it because you like music. There's just not enough money in it otherwise. Why not do it for free you ask? Im sure many people love their job, doesn't mean they'd do it for free. Doing something you enjoy doing, and getting payed for it (assuming you get paid enough) means you have more time doing what you like doing, rather than some other ass job. Nice language by the way, I'm sure many rock fans will heed your advice and change their ways... | |
