I do not believe that they are completely lost and gone! The website(s) going down is(are) a poor omen, but the one ray of light can be found in the fact that Blake was giddy over finding a replacement for Chris. I can't recall this article, but it did exist. |

I just did a report in a comp. class about these lyrics. It was off the wall, but my thesis stated that his meaning behind Chinatown could have been historical. The Chinatowns during the late nineteenth century to early twentieth century were barren, removed locations as the chinese were shunned. One instance of a settlement was even charted in a subterrainian cavern. Anyway, my thought was that he felt alone. Just as the immigrants. Probably a long shot but I suppose multiple interpretations are alright. Jim "Catfish" Hunter was a baseball pitcher for the Oakland Atheletics in the seventies. |
