I love this song. There is no doubt in my mind that this is a religious song. Just look at the chorus. As far as I know there are only three religions to use the term heaven Jewish, Muslim, and Christian. If you watch the video you can see that they filmed it in a church so that should tell you right there that the song has a christian influence. In any case rather it is a religious song or not should not take away from the fact that it is very well written and most people can relate to it no matter what your religious preferences may be.

the song is very nice but the poem has a little more details that the song leaves it. But trust me if your English teacher wantes you to read the poem listen to this song. It will save you allot of time and you will enjoy it better.

This song is great and tragic. I think there is some truth to the story. writters find most of their ideas from real life situations.
