i don't think the lyrics are meaningless at all. beansch has it right, it's about the working class. very rebellious feel to this song. the album was great because oasis was "real," they weren't a bunch of art students pretending to be working class like blur were-- they sang about the things they knew about. "What was that sound ringing around your brain Today was just a blur, you've got a head like a ghost train What was that sound ringing around your brain You're here on your own who you gonna find to blame" a description of what working class life is like. "You're the outcast You're the underclass" self-explanatory. the working class it the outcast class because the upper class or the middle class do not care about them. "But you don't care Because you're living fast" self-explanatory as well, they're living it up anyways and not giving a shit about anything else. "You're the uninvited guest who stays 'till the end" uninvited guest-- someone who is unwanted and not cared about. the upper/middle class does not care about the lower class. you in this verse = the underclass. "I know you've got a problem that the devil sends" again, you is the underclass of the verse. the devil sent a problem for you. the devil is the upper/middle class. "You think they're talking 'bout you but you don't know who I'll be scraping your life from the soul of my shoe tonight" you think the upper/middle class are talking about taking you out and you do know who it is exactly, but you know when the fight happens (tonight) that you will be scraping their remains from the sole of your shoe. btw, should be SOLE, not soul. "Bring it on down, bring it down for me Your head's in a fish tank Your body and your mind can't breathe" a taunting verse for the upper/middle class. |

"The lyrics of this song appear to be "borrowed from" or inspired by the Beatles' Across the Universe. Compare the lyrics and see, especially the exact words "inciting and inviting." Anyone know anything about the connection?" I, too, noticed this when I heard the song. When commenting about "Across the Universe", Lennon said that he liked poetry that could exist by itself without the music. I think the inviting/inciting refernce is a nod of recognition, because the songs are very similar - universal, serene, as well as the fact that both are beautiful without the music. |

"Can you feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel me? I can feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel you." Listen to Rain by the Beatles, that's where they stole it from. Great music, great band, no doubt, but all the Beatles references really annoy me. They'll never be as good as them. |

Wow spankme, learn some Beatles history before you open your mouth. The song by the Beatles was actually rumoured to be about their homosexual manager Brian Epstein who reportedly made numerous advanced towards John. As GuitarJeezus said, the Beatles were still in the groupie phase - not one of them had met the significant other they wound up marrying after the Beatles had broken up.. |

In the video, Proof has been shot and the doctors are trying to save his life while Eminem is in the waiting room. Has Proof had any beef with anyone that might've gotten him shot? I don't understand. |

The chorus is wrong. It's "No matter how many MC's I eat up", not "No matter how many emcees I end up." |

| The Beatles – I'm So Tired Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| John wrote the song when he was in India. He was apparently meditating too much and was having trouble sleeping at night. The line "My mind is set on you" is directed at Yoko Ono. Sir Walter Raleigh is the guy who introduced tobacco to England. | |
