I've been sitting on this one for a while. i haven't been able to amend anything about these lyrics in a while so I thought I'd put them up for everyone to add to. I just love this song. I don't care if I don't know any other lyrics to any other PS song, I just want to know that little bit of the chorus that I cannot understand. This is my favorite Pinkly Smooth song, it makes me feel like there are still facets of musical genres that have yet to be explored and that we aren't doomed to this bubblegum pop for forever. |

| My #3 song of all time. this song is so complete, it is wanting for nothing but to be listened to again and again. This was the 1st vendetta red song and i head it like 3 years ago right when it came out but i never checked the band out until about 8 months ago. it's a shame they broke up after such a momentous album as was Sisters... If i had only one album to choose to be the album to listen to for the rest of my life, it would be Sisters of the Red Death. And I don't even consider them my fav. band, that ought to tell you something. Seriously, if you haven't checked out the rest of the album, I highly recommend that you do so immediately. | |

[ ] = I wasn't really sure but I put what I thought I heard *indiscernible* = I have no idea / = either or not really sure which one This song I'm 99% sure is about a man's change into a vampire and then taking more victims. Nosferatu is actually another, archaic, name for a vampire. I'm sure this has to do with a specific legend of the vampire but I couldn't find an exact match. The part about the "voyage home" makes me think that it is from Stokers "Dracula" b/c Dracula flees back to his home on a boat. I don't understand the whole "Six things wrongs and six things right" though. I'm 99.99% sure that those are the correct lyrics I just can't make heads or tales of it and I've searched all through vampire lore. the only connection I can find is that 6 is the number of the devil. I love this part...... "What do we do with him? Shut him! (I can’t feel me!) Tie him up!....." I sounds like a struggle between different vampires and their victim although it's difficult to tell if the man is a willing victim. I think this song is about religion. a7x loves this theme and it fits well. the right (right hand of god, also the right politically tends to be more religious), there's a church on the right. he went that way first.(usually when we're younger we tend to believe what we are told so we follow down the path of blind belief first. the left. (the left is traditionally a symbol of the devil, the opposite of god, left handed people used to be made to do things w/ their right hand b/c of this) "the left isn't better, condemning all these people for what they believe" - the road of the athiest, many judge religious ppl for their beliefs. "no one is going to save me this way" there is no 'salvation' on this road If I was perfect then this would be easy (pretty obvious that if he was perfect then he would just know what path to choose) Either road is plausible on both I could drown (on either road he could get screwed if it's the wrong one) I walked through the center with no rules to guide me (he's chosen the path of the agnostic in the end) If you wanted, you could see this as a political song too. right vs. left but I don't think that's the way they wanted it heard. all-in-all the song is pretty good. not their best work but still a decent song |

I think this is supposed to be about one of the "sisters" transformed. Her boyfriend is still in love with her even though she's basically devoted herself to the destruction of man. Andthedayswerelonger are you mentaly retarded or do you just not know how to read? A7X has the greatest lyrics of any band today. I am a huge poetry buff and I LOVE words and analyzing songs and stories and shit ( as wierd as that sounds I assure you I'm not a nerd or a freak) and their lyrics are the epitome of perfection. they capture emotion with their words and music in a way that I've never seen (or heard) any band do, ever! Yeah, some musicians have a few songs that can do that but not EVERY SONG. the only ( AND I MEAN THE ONLY) song by a7x where the lyrics leave something to be desired is Thick and Thin. So if it's retardation that's the problem then I can't help you but if it IS a reading problem, then maby try some fucking Hooked on Phonics. |
