It said she hit the end, but it never said that she fell off of it or even jumped. But the other lines point to that the girl died. "Well they said she died easy of a broken heart disease " The girl probably got her heart broken--too many times? People say that a broken heart is the worse [emotional] pain. And broken hearts can be caused due to others things besides relationships. |

If your "brother" or whoever it is is playing it--THEN GET OUT OF THE HOUSE. Grab some headphones and listen to your own music. Just because you think this band sucks doesn't mean it does suck. Get your ignorance close minded views away from me. I don't want to choke on your opinion--which for some reason you act as if it is the truth. On songfacts.com it says she didn't write this song. But I still like to song--and if you don't like it fine. I'm not going to change my musical interests just because someone else doesn't agree with it. I like a variety of genre--so =P From SongFacts.com: John Shanks wrote this with Kara DioGuardi. They came up with the song after Simpson told them, "I have all these sides to me, and my boyfriend doesn't understand." Shanks has written and produced hits for many young female singers, including Hilary Duff, Michelle Branch, Kelly Clarkson and Lindsay Lohan. All she did was give me the idea, it seems. However, I don't know how true this is. |

Not to sound cliche, but this reminds me of me and my ex-boyfriend. He has moved on, while I'm still struggling to make it through another day without the thought of him killing me. While knowing I'll have to pretend I moved on, when I will in a sense love him 'forever'. Maybe that helped...somehow. |

You like/love someone so much, and you want to be with him so much. Maybe a point in time you give up, and somehow he/she starts to notice you. Like forever you were ignored, and now you aren\'t. Maybe she got involved with him for awhile. A relationship or a friendship of some sort. It ended, and she \"walks away\" not knowing that he had put her in some much pain in his little game. Like a relisation that the relationship wasn\'t right she/he thought it was---finding out the truth. At first, she thought she knew who he was. But she finds out it wasn\'t the truth, and as he changes she slowly slips away from what she used to me. And he knew something--that this might happen or he might change. After the relationship, she sees the TRUTH. Maybe she had time to think, or maybe something that ended it made her realise. She knows what she is, what he does and the game he loves to play. And now she doesn\'t want to \"play\". (Even thought he might want to again.) She probably feels she is still lost in his game/ways. Hence the \"Forever Gone, Forever You\". I can relate. I was in this [Long Distance] relationship for almost three years, to have it end all of the sudden. He dumped me for some girl. who he dumped him twice. The final time after they found themselves in \"bed\" (you know what I mean). Now he is crawling back to me, while I have given up saving this relationship. But he now \"notices\" me and as if the month had never happened. As if he never had fallen out of love with me. And I stil feel \"chained\" to him somehow. He still exists in my memories, even thought I know he\'s verbal abusive to a point and he is obvious he has played me to be some sort of a desperate loser. |

I've loved the song and the band every since I heard this song a year or two again during a vacation. It's obvious it was about a girl who had problems, and sleeping around was a way to cope. My friend had come up with ideas that the song was from a friend who was telling her it wasn't her fault that her father killed herself, or that it was about her father. But I'd never thought that it was about her father had AIDs and didn't want her to end up with him. |
