as much as we want to help, we can't. especially not the way we chose to do it. we didn't even have a plan. and bush didn't send our troops to iraq to help them. all he said was that they had weapons that threatened the american people, and they didn't. had he said that we were going in to help the people in iraq, i might of supported the war.

i'd appreciate it better if i was a fan of the genre, but i'm not. though, it translates well, in my opinion. it's an interesting cover. definitely interesting. to me it doesn't ruin the song, since it's so different. atleast it wasn't like fred durst's cover of behind blue eyes. i thought his cover was awful. but that's just me. |

first of all, amp 322, i have the wall, and 'we don't need no education' is only sung twice. second of all, what are you implying about the beatles? i wouldn't say they went 'downhill'. listen to their last album, abbey road. it's one of their best albums. and finally, led zeppelin. all i can really say is that they are not repetitive, or atleast too repetitve. now i'm not trying to take yeahyeahyoyo's side. even though i don't like this song, i'm with you. you're just defending the song you like. just please leave the beatles, pink floyd, and led zeppelin out of it. |

don't you mean modest mouse's style is alot like this? alot of you have interesting interpretations. i, personally, think that the lyrics such as 'writing the words of a sermon that no-one will hear', 'wearing a face she keeps in a jar by the door' and everything else that is confusing is just there to give it a lonely feel. i think it's great. i try not to look to deeply it into it, though. to me, it's just describing the loneliness of two people. i think it's Paul's best song lyrically. |
