I think this is an incredibly poignant attack on modern western culture and how consumerism has overtaken our lives. "But we are trained to believe like celebrity imaging Well I'm here to take my feelings back and I hope that you all be with me " This is about the way the western world dont seem to think for themselves anymore. One of RX's main gripes they keep going on about is apathy - people are not active enough, they don't THINK enough, and as a result are being wrapped around these politicians' little fingers so they can do what they want with us, a la the Patriot Act in the US, which is slowly being mirrored here in the UK, due to the fear of terrorism that is whipped up and completely exaggerated by our governments. We as a people need to wake up and understand what is happening to us and to others on our behalf. |

they do have a bit of a ska/raggae kinda sound like the police yeah. This song rules, but i can't put my finger on its meaning. I can't help thinking its about heroin, firstly because of the title's similarity with "chasing the dragon" - a phrase used to describe taking heroin. Also the lyrics suggest this, particularly lines like "When she's in my blood you know it feels so nice Shakin' in the morning like I been kicked all night " I think it has to be at least partly about this..? |
