i absolutely HATE the video. I HATE IT WITH A PASSION because its messing with one of my favorite songs. its like they got a director of a britney spears video and asked him what his vision was for an indie rock video and he said, "taxidermy, and i'll zoom in and out alot and make the lights blink on and off."
why couldn't they get michel gondry to do it? jenny still looked good though. |

lovely melody, but the subject matter of the lyrics about the serial killer is disturbing and then at the end, he compares himself to gacy. a stark example to show the perspective of how all men have fallen short of the glory of God, that all are utterly sinful. you won't find mainstream christian artists like jars of clay or even shane barnard to ever sing songs like this. |

I don't think its necessarily about unrequited love, i think its about getting frustrated because a girl that you like is not responding, but she COULD like you, but is hiding it or is really shy or maybe she really doesn't like you. It's the uncertainty and risk and doubt and hopefulness that goes into liking a girl. |
