| Rancid – As Wicked Lyrics | 20 years ago |

This song is fantastic. Its about waking up and actually deciding to give a shit about other people. Helping out folks with their problems, you know? Also, toward the end Tim counts his blessings, realizes he's much luckier than most. 'I always end up back on the hill, looking down on the landfill' To most people, lokking down on a landfill would make them want to leave or plug their nose, but Tim doesn't mind. He appreciates what he has, and thats one of the reasons rancid is among the best bands around. |

| The Tragically Hip – Cordelia Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I think one theme of this song could be stagefright. 'Angst on the planks, spitting from a bridge', could be the same thing as peeping out from behind a curtain to see how many people are in the audience. Couple that with the fact that King Lear is a commonly produced Shakespeare play. I dunno, its a possibility | |
| The Tragically Hip – Save The Planet Lyrics | 20 years ago |

This track might be about a bunch of things, like knocking the Kytoto agreement (constitituions of granite can't save the planet) and how a world-wide environmental policy needs to be put in place that everyone can agree with (the line about black minarets makes me think this) Anyway, its a solid song, it really does make the headphones edible. |
