the line 'she told me about the winds from Santa Anna' is reminiscent of Steely Dan's song 'babylon sisters'. Maybe ben lee listens to steely dan and this line is a little homage. wouldn't be surprising. |

ive seen him explain it several times. ive pieced together that its about how he wishes fathers had treated their daughters better when they were young so that it would be easier for him to have sex with them now without all the emotional s%@t. |

I think this song can relate to a relationship with God. (could explain why in the OLD maida keeps looking and pointing at the sky..)
I think the songs about wanting to believe in God but finding it difficult to submit yourself.
Then again any song about a 'girl' could be about any range of things. just depends how you interpret it. Personally i just cant stop thinking about the way he keeps pointing up in the dvd..... |
