Cardiacs – Fiery Gun Hand Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Just a theory, but it could be a song about Jesus committing suicide? I'm not sure about the last bit though. This whole album has some strange religious overtones. That line "[He] puts a big gun up inside of his mouth and he fires till he cries" just makes me incredibly sad. What a great band. |
Big Black – Kitty Empire Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I think this song is about cats. |
Nomeansno – Brainless Wonder Lyrics | 13 years ago |
This song represents the futility and, ultimately, the hopeless primal instincts of the working man in a capitalist society. Or it's about wanting food. |
Hammerhead – Victoria Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Does anyone else think that when he sings the line "I'm American, hahaha", he sounds exactly like David Yow? |
Fugazi – Life and Limb Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I've always thought this song was about the violent nature of American culture. |
No Age – Boy Void Lyrics | 14 years ago |
The end of the song where the drums and guitar really kick in... pure fucking bliss man. |
Future of the Left – Yin / Post-Yin Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Man, sometimes I wish I knew what the hell Falco was talking about... |
Shellac – Copper Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I think it's just a song about feeling worthless ("you'll never be gold"). |
Minutemen – The Big Stick Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This song is amazing. I love D's lyrics. It's pretty straightforward. RIP D. Boon |
Napalm Death – It's A M.a.n.s. World Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Great song. Definitely talking about the pointlessness of "manhood". Also, the lyrics seem to be sort of similar to the Crass song "Big Man, Big M.A.N."... |
Descendents – Mass Nerder Lyrics | 17 years ago |
FUCK YES! I love the Germs reference. |
Rudimentary Peni – The Bile Ball Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Haha, this song is great. The meaning's kind of obvious: A pool of bile is better than the Bible. |
Slayer – Fight Till Death Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I think this song is pretty obviously about a war between men and demons, but I guess it could be interpreted as an anti-war song, kind of like Chemical Warfare. It's sad that old-school Slayer isn't appreciated by most people. I really hate what the mainstream has done to a generation of people who might've been able to appreciate good music... |
Nausea – Here Today Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I would've posted the chorus if I knew it. Sorry I can't find it, I'd like to know it too. |
Strapping Young Lad – Far Beyond Metal Lyrics | 17 years ago |
King Rau, beat all Fucking strength Know that the music industry's ill And we're the fucking antidote One line and you're out of control Yeah, you fucking suck King Rau, beat all Fucking strength Oh, you ironic pop-rock fuck Don't you fuck with metal One line and we're out of control Yeah, we fucking own you King Rau, beat all Fucking strength Can't wait to feel it again And I need to feel home When I was somebody else Well, I was just a boy Metal Ladies and gentleman, the maggot master! Now in the halls of the Necrolord Flash of fear when he sees my sword Raped his women, smoked his bone Leave a booger underneath his throne King Rau, beat off Fucking wank Can't wait to feel it again And I need to feel home When I was somebody else Well, I was just a boy Metal |
Carcass – Exhume To Consume Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This song is about vegetarianism. |
Napalm Death – Instinct Of Survival Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Goddamn, this song kicks ass. I think it's (obviously) about how companies don't care about people, just making money. |
The Germs – Media Blitz Lyrics | 18 years ago |
That's because they don't want you to know about Zordoc, the one eyed tentacle thing. |
Dead Kennedys – Straight A's Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I think it's more about how parents put so much pressure on their kids to get good grades, but it just makes their kids angry and depressed. |
Oi Polloi – Scum Lyrics | 18 years ago |
sXe |
Crass – Securicor Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Who sings this? |
Dead Kennedys – Potshot Heard Around The World Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Most of the lyrics in the song are from Jello's first spoken word album No More Cocoons... |
The Offspring – Neocon Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"Who the hell do you think fought against British control and against slavery? It wasn't some peace-supporting sign-holding liberal." And I'm sure it was some trigger-happy, homophobic conservative, right? Don't assume that all liberals do nothing to protest than sit around and hold signs. A lot of libs will resort to violence, but usually as a last resort. |
Descendents – I'm Not A Punk Lyrics | 18 years ago |
You guys who are bashing punks seem to be hanging out with pretty close minded ones. Punk's not about the music or the clothes, punk is a mindset. |
Crass – Banned From The Roxy Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"but i thought they were nonviolent" They're pacifists. There's a difference between non-violence and pacifism. |
Dead Kennedys – Advice From Christmas Past Lyrics | 18 years ago |
It says "a fed", not "Yvette". |
Dead Kennedys – Night of the Living Rednecks Lyrics | 18 years ago |
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0794918/ |
Superdrag – The Staggering Genius Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Does the opening riff remind anyone else of "Gigantic" by The Pixies? |
Pixies – Nimrod's Son Lyrics | 19 years ago |
LevitateMe: Were you at the Braxton Academy show? I've got that CD from PixiesDiscs. =) JJoe: I don't think Frank is really an incest kid. He wouldn't be too bright if he was. :P |
The Offspring – Hit That Lyrics | 19 years ago |
OpinionHead: Yeah, that's a real bass. Listen to the song "Tehran". It's a good demonstration of their bassist. |
Rammstein – Rammstein (English) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Not sure if it's been posted yet, but Rammstein means "Ram Stone" in German. |
Strapping Young Lad – Aftermath Lyrics | 19 years ago |
No, this isn't about the war in Iraq... |
Beck – Hell Yes Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Robot: "Biatch" |
System of a Down – CUBErt Lyrics | 19 years ago |
"Preflight delight, Defaced street lights, A pyramid mind fuck, Don't leave your seats now," Humanity is starting to become confused by what they are doing, but they won't stop. (i.e. A confusing movie, but they won't leave) "Popcorn everywhere, canned, Cliché people organs rare, Corn everywhere canned, Cliché people organs rare," Rare (repeat) There are so many humans, yet so little organ donors "I want to be, A fallen ruby, Guest vibrations, Don't leave your seats now," One person wants to be the one to change the world "Humans everywhere, canned, Cliché people organs rare, Humans everywhere, canned, Cliché people cannot dare," This part of the song is about overpopulation and lack of organ donors Dare (repeat) "Humans everywhere, canned, Cliché people organs rare, Humans everywhere, canned, Cliché people cannot dare, Humans everywhere, canned, Cliché people organs rare, Humans everywhere, canned, Cliché people cannot dare, dare, dare, dare." Same as the previous chorus These are just my thoughts, and I'm probably wrong. |
Beck – E-Pro Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This is what I'm hearing: "Take your eyes and mind to the road" "Broke down at the convention of brothers" "It's good enough all alone" |
Pixies – La La Love You Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Actually, the guy who sings this song (David Lovering, their drummer) sings the song Trompe Le Mond (the song, not the album). |
Modest Mouse – Tiny Cities Made of Ashes Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I've got an idea about a certain part of the song. "I'm wearin’ myself a t-shirt that says "The world is my ashtray" Our hearts pump dust and our hairs all grey " I think this part might have something to do with smoking, and how it dameages your body. Anyone else? |
Static-X – All In Wait Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I think it's about living your life to the fullest, and not just moping around all the time. |
Static-X – Bled For Days Lyrics | 19 years ago |
It's get to the rage, check the Static-X official website. |
Static-X – I'm With Stupid Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I think the song is based on a true story. A woman was being robbed, so she grabbed a shovel adn beat the guy with it. And did anyone else notice that the second time Wayne starts to sings the "Great pains, I've gone to gang slang" part, the lady say "So I grabbed my shovel" backwards? |
