| of Montreal – Rapture Rapes the Muses Lyrics | 21 years ago |

sometimes i wonder if this song isn't just a haughty lash for verbose insanity, but i guess it kind of makes sense. ONCE AGAIN, KEVIN BARNES, I LOVE YOU. |

| Cursive – Sink to the Beat Lyrics | 21 years ago |
it IS satire it's mocking itself they're singing about promoting their own music that's what music is ABOUT especially now, when all this indie and underground music seems to be getting so popular and he's a lot like conor oberst [whose last name i find to be a self-fulfilling prophecy] when they feel gluttonous and bad for being "successful" and in that sense, they take after kurt cobain, even though i really didn't want to make that parallel. [where songwriters chain their songs to their ankles and sink to the beat ] they're saying their music is killing them, and it is, at least that's what they're conveying. |

| Cursive – The Rhyme Scheme Lyrics | 21 years ago |

once again, writing songs about writing songs. a little song and dance is about his music, too. it's always girls, sex, and music, and hurt but all four terms are really interchangeable. |

| Cursive – Northern Winds Lyrics | 21 years ago |
it's really like you work for all the things in life but your actions and thoughts can easily counteract all the good you do and you only have so much energy to continue like that and i also think it has a hint of [life is pointless] basically, he's feeling apathetic a new feeling for tim? hahahaha. |
| Cursive – Making Friends and Acquaintances Lyrics | 21 years ago |

| Cursive – A Little Song and Dance Lyrics | 21 years ago |
it sounds like he's talking about his career more here especially due to the references he makes towards the music. if you apply the idea that he's kind of feeling apathetic, and how all the hard work hasn't really amounted to anything more than he's expected, the song makes more sense. it also seems like he is waiting around for fame and whatnot. a lot of people always assume he's whining about girls again, but who knows, this song may be a double entendre. |
