| Green Day – Boulevard of Broken Dreams Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
ah, so...i met billie joe the other day, well i met bj, tre and mike but... it proved what i've always thought about billie joe... what you can see in his eyes more than anyone alteast that i know...that he's so lost dude and alone and shit.i mean, you can listen to the american idiot cd and say it's just some mainstream cd or just a compliation of shit put together to make something thats going to win a grammy but if you look into it more, its obvious the whole thing is him and his views of himself and how he just wants out. he's famous as shit and people "love" him, or the band as a whole or whatever, but he has no way of connecting with the "underbelly" now because of this "life like dream." its sad, it really is sad. |

kiss101point7, the bands such as "the secret secretions," and whatever i mentioned in the above post, are not real bands you idiot. I was being sarcastic and making fun of people like you. |

Literally, I only know one thing and that is "Teddy Dogpile" clearly deficates on both "Active Plutonium", "Jimmy Blew Jeans & the Blow Jobs", and "Secret Secretions". Actually, I know one other thing and that is most of you operate under the premise that idle conversation makes you wise. You need more than thesarus.com and an opinion to be worth not shooting in the head. (These posts are getting rediculous and redundent.) |

| Propagandhi – Back To The Motor League Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
This song highlights the appreciation I have for objective thinkers and those that actually care about well-being and not title. I feel glad and fortune that I can be rocked by such a charged anthem and stimulated by such creative and concise lyrics. I only which others could feel the same way...many, many others. But then again, if that were the case we'd be a different people and this song wouldn't exist. I love the human condition as it makes me who I am but I hate it because I know I could be better. How much better? I don't know. I'm only human. It's that humanity that ameliorates us and impairs us. Post Script - This is just my humble opinion but I rather hi-lite TripTiks than clean and remove the large impediments from a Poo Processing Plant, empty garbage, work at a landfill, or be on the front line of a sector of a military I don't completely believe in. There are other more trecherous jobs and I hate to be anally literal but I wanted to I was feeling verbose. |

| if you're an "old green day fan" and sad about how green day's become mainstream/pop/ whatever else you want to call it, listen to their side bands | |
| Green Day – American Idiot Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
sparatus... i couldn't agree more with you when you said , "And yes, making money is nice, but if a band sells out, it often means that the band makes mainstream shit, and don't give a fuck about their former fans. " And i have to add, that Green day may have gone mainstream in an obvious sense, but...what tweaks them away from getting the label, is that they do care about their old fans. They proove it in their side project (not pinhead gunpowder nesesarily, although it does have many points it prooves) They proove it in their other sideproject...If you've heard of it, cool. If you have heard it, even better, but you still may not get what i'm saying, if you've seen the DVD, you should get it, and if you don't get it after seeing the DVD, you have no depth, atleast in my oppinion. It's crazy seeing that DVD and putting everything together... AHHH i love greenday, only one other band i know has been able to pull something like that off no one can pull something like that off.... if i'm confusing you, my apologies...but it's not really my place to go into detail and give shit away to random people. if you care you could IM me |

and oh god, platypus, you just made me scream after i read your comment...i got mad excited and went to my CD stand thing and looked in my AI lyrics cover and where it's scratched out and says whatsername, i tried to see it say Haushinka and i can kinda make out a in the front somewhere U and an A at the end, but is it really clear looking to you or what? man your a hero to me...and dude, just cause this is making me anxious, if you have AIM, im Haushinka215, if you care to IM me to further discuss............................................ |

opinionhead, well put; sounded almost poetic. It's true, yet i hate to admit. Music is part of my foundation in life, hence why i would be a consumer, along with everyone else with whom is a member on songmeanings, but, like you, i have my cd player, my money stuffed in my pocket, and time to head to record and tape traders...and i'm aware music can brain warp me like religion, and in the end (or even just the end of the day) take me nowhere, but, yea, all in all, (after jumping from topic to topic) i agree with you. .....although i'm 99% sure, aside from not knowing you personally, that you love music die hard... as do i. |

mr c markert, go ahead and call green day a sellout band or whatever, but you obviously don't know about the point to this CD and shit. I'm a huge fan of green day, and look into it ( as some would refer to as way too much) deeply and have put mad 2's and 2's together to get the point of this CD. I'm not going to sit here and explain it to you, because you still provobly wont understand hence you immediate accusations and assumtions toward the band int he first place. anyway, go comment somewhere else, where your state of intelligence averages out with everyone elses. ps. while you're at it, sell your GD cd's too, because if you didn't buy AI because their "sellouts," coward, you don't deserve shennanigans, warning, dookie, nimrod, 1039, kerplunk, waiting, or anyelse if i forgot them. |

| radiogod, shut the fuck up. go listen to the radio because obviusly all you know about green day anyway is what part of them has been on the radio. | |
| Green Day – Boulevard of Broken Dreams Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
radiogod, and atthedrive in, you need to look deeper into green day and maybe learn a little more about them. This album doesn't suck at all, and some may say (have said on other songs, maybe this song too) that they've become part of the new media, and shit, but when you know more about green day than just them by the name of "green day." you'd understand what the cd's really about and whatever. I don't want to give shit away cause you need to figure it out in your own time. Ever heard of a little thing called a side project? |
|
| Green Day – Christie Road Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| punkpugeon, it's not about that... Christie Ave. is a place in the bay area, right next to the highway, right across from rail road tracks. Kids go to "the tracks at Christie Avenue," who ride at the skatepark right next to it and whatever. | |
| Green Day – American Idiot Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
i would have to say a movie or AI will provobly suck and piss off so many fans, but atleast we have PG and TN to turn to for reguard, although listening to that music, than knowing AI has been turned into a movie would confuse me a lot, so nevermind, scartch all of that.. and if your wondering what P.G. and T.N. is, you don't know green day well enough. ps. i love green day with a fucking passion, if you're going to New York to see them play at the fucking sad-ass "MTV new years eve ball shit," IM me on my screen name, Haushinka215, and we'll meet up : D |
|
| Green Day – Boulevard of Broken Dreams Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
yea, in reply to somebody's comment up there.... i wouldn't consider this to be a romantic song at all...i think "im walking down the line that divides me somewhere in my mind, on the border line, of the edge and where i walk alone" is referring to him having a borderline personality disorder, or split personality disorder, or any of those somewhat in relation....if you think back to other past dgreenday songs, a lot also fit with this thought. |

| Green Day – She's a Rebel Lyrics | 21 years ago |

| dude if they make it in to a movie, im giong to shoot myself. | |
| Green Day – American Idiot Lyrics | 21 years ago |

pardon me..... i read some interviews with green day and billie said that they have some people already writing scripts.. and holy shit, can you picture fucking like, i duno, "lindsay lohan" as whatshername, and "chad michael murray" as st jimmy or something, oh god, shoot me now, please. i just don't understand how the hell they would pull something like that.. scratch that, WHY***the hell they would ever do something like that. god im sad man. |

| who is rsdome even talking to? he comments like 95 times in a row and than says suck my dick or something? man o man. | |
| Green Day – American Idiot Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
atthedrive-in, i don't know if i would call green day punk. i don't even think i would call them anything, because as we've all discussed for days and days (at one point) about if green day is punk or not, it just got too confusing, to many reasons to say they arn't, and too many reasons to say they are. They're differnt i think, either that, or i havn't looked into other bands as much as i have/do greenday. ehh, anyway, i wouldn't call nofx punk, but that's just me, and i don't listen to antiflag, so i couldn't say. something i would call punk thoug- 7 seconds.... minor threat..... a bunch more, but that's just my examples (non of this is to be taken offense to, it's hard to make things not sound condeming when your typing) |

| Green Day – Boulevard of Broken Dreams Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
blueyedragon, i partly agree with you. I do wish that people would talk more about the depth of the songs, and not even say if they like them or not, whatever, but i'd like to know what people really think the songs mean. only because there is no where else to talk about whatever it is we all talk about on here, is why we do it though, i guess. |
|
| Green Day – American Idiot Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| i duno dude, its a give or take situation. i could say that was true but i like to pretend no one else listens to the music i listen to, which takes away use for genre's like "pop punk." If american idiot never came out, would your oppinion be swayed differently? maybe it wouldn't be, i'm just curious i guess | |

| Radiohead – Bullet Proof...I Wish I Was Lyrics | 21 years ago |

wow, all i can say is radiohead has a mad way of taking cliche and killing it. if you don't get it, sucks for you. radiohead's "the bends," is the modern day pink floyd's, "the wall." honestly. if you know music, you must agree. |
|
| Green Day – Boulevard of Broken Dreams Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| are we not glad that we have people like atthedrive-in in our world? thank god we do. | |
| Green Day – American Idiot Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| there is no such thing as pop punk people. take the two words apart they don't belong in the same world. please, for my mental health, if you are going to label the music as a "certain type," don't use that phrase. thanks. | |
| Green Day – Knowledge (Operation Ivy cover) Lyrics | 21 years ago |

wherrrreee are you seeing them in feb? or are you not american, arianethefool.... cause i saw them twice in october FUCKING RAD.. but yea i LOVE this cover and i LOVE op's original also. I always put in my unity cd than 1039 right after it...perfect combination. |
|
| Green Day – American Idiot Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| nooo...i was agreeing with what you were saying, atthedrivein | |
| Green Day – Boulevard of Broken Dreams Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
atthedrivein- i wouldn't change what i said, because i think that is the truth, but i would add to it, asking the same question your asking me. if that made sense. the world is too diverse in a sense now to have punk be such an extreme as-was in the past. The problem narrowed down i guess could be simply put that everyone now adays has such crazy oppinions, and there is so many more ways of expressing it, and so much more "oppertunities," that punk couldn't really exsist, (as big a movement as before) Because of all the little "gc" kids and what not, and the new age stereotyped definition of punk, people thinking its a clothing style or, again, gc, "the stories been stretched and so far fetched," that theres no unstreching of it. sorry if that was confusing, i've got a lot in my head, so it's hard to say exactly what i want to. |
|
| Green Day – Desensitized Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
somewhere i thought i heard that this was a recording of billie joe having an anxiety attack and it went with the song, so they put the two together making this one. honestly though i have no idea where i got that information from so who knows... all i know for sure is that i kind of hope it is because the anger of the song makes me happy. |

| Green Day – American Idiot Lyrics | 21 years ago |

yeahyeahyoyoyoyoyeahyeahyeah- again, you obviusly do not know what music is if you keep saying green day isn't it. IT'S FUCKING MUSIC YOU FUCKING DUMBASS. get over it. no one ever accused your dumbass of only listening to rap. why don't you fucking pay attention. Also, who says all of us only listen to green day? YOU obviusly don't listen to anything but word of mouth because green day doesn't sing any song specifically to bush except one song that is not even on an official green day cd you fucking idiot. and my ghetto-like aquaintance, greenday will be forgotten in a year by people like you. Not us. So stop putting words in our mouths. Oh and ps. You deffinitly acuse people of being gay a lot. Do you wish it were true that they were gay? I think you're in denial. Are YOU gay? cmmmmmmonnnnnnn Come out of the closet litttle guyyyyyyyyyyyy |
|
| Green Day – Boulevard of Broken Dreams Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| krazyperson, in my opinion you can't "teach" someone punk, that would be poser. punk isn't just about the music though, its about the words, it's a movement. standing up, (or even sitting down for the matter) for what you believe in and not standing alone; uniting with the others alike | |
