by ledskynyrd on 10-30-2004 @ 12:40:26 PM If this ain't the best song by Queen then tell me what their best song is. i just had to reply to this, obviously, this is a great song, and i too believe it is their best, but different people like different songs more or less, and as for what their best song could be? we wil rock you perhaps? or we are the champions, killer queen, you're my best friend, crazy little thing called love, somebody to love, i want to break free, another one bites the dust, i want it all, under pressure... i cannot be bothered to go on, but all of their songs are brilliant and all of those are amazing, so i can understand someone liking a different song more. the other thing i wanted to say... has noone here seen the musical "we will rock you" it is truly amazing, and the characters discuss the meaning of this song. one of the characters even calls it "a load of bollocks thrown together by the most spectacular musicians of all time". and before anyone mentions this, yes the play is partially written by queen, so the meaning are pretty trustworthy. i reccomend anyone who hasnt seen it sees it as soon as possible, that is if you live in australia or uk, cos i don't think its been released anywhere else. and apart from that, i would like to clear up a few things. someone above said that freddie mercury didnt even write the song, whoever that was, your an idiot. he did write it. and it was released in october 1975, so i have no idea what you people were on about with the whole it being written for waynes world thing, although it was rereleased in 1992 in america because of waynes world, and 1991 in the UK, in aid of the terrence higgins trust. by the way, it had nothing to do with aids, deal with it. sorry for rambling, but it was necessary <3 |
