Cape Canaveral was re-named Cape Kennedy and then changed a while back. Um, I guess McCoy is probably right. |

Everytime I read these lyrics, I can't help but laugh. Not in a condescending sense at all! I just think, the brutal simplicity is...FUNNY HAHAHA. |

she can't not tell him to be cool because he's not tripping and thus can't act cool in a situation that requires it. |

It could be a reference to DRUG MONEY moscato.
"Wicket keeper" = the drug dealer "how he gets him off the ground" = he can only get off his feet to pay the man a visit and buy some pot. |

Yeah, it's like when a whole slew of Jazz artists started doing smack because Coltrane did it.
It's terribly ironic that "Coming Up Roses" comes on right after "Single File" too I should mention. =( |

Here's an interpretation of a great song, off of my favourite Eliott Smith record:
He's got major anxiety because he's at a party with people he feels uncomfortable with; very shy around them, afraid of saying something stupid and mindlessly following people around without saying a word. He finally manages to say something to a girl: "You look like someones daughter" - probably really drunk, and she rejects him. He is very embaressed, and decides to go home alone because he knows he isn't making a worthwhile impression on anybody. He slips out of the party without anyone noticing him at all. |
