We find a liking in somebody, become best friends with them, but never date because you're always with somebody else, or it just won't work... There's always a reason for them not to date... I think this is my new favorite song... Me and my girlfriend got in a fight over something... and then somehow I spilled out a whole different side of me that not a single person besides her knows about... because it's a part of me I'd rather forget about and wish never happened... But some days I just can't live with myself... So that last verse or the bridge whatever you call it really hits home to me.... But! Me and her are still together, and everythings fine even though she knows what I had done. |

This song means alot to me. I first heard it the other day. It reminds me of a kid named Nathan that was a high school senior here. He died homecoming night in a tragic barn accident. Home coming was October first. So I always get a different feel of the meaning of this song. |

After this week this song really hits me... My girlfriend is moving back to her dad's house because she doesn't like the way things are with her family now... and it's completely her choice. She loves her friends and some family here. But her mom's boyfriend is making her want to leave. Now she's gonna live 2 and a half hours away... and the most we'll see each other is every other weekend... So this song kind've hurts right now... And that's basically what I think it means too. Good song though. Love it. |

I agree... That's probably the best part of the song in my opinion... I smile alot as a person... You don't see me not smiling much... It is true with me... I smile wider when I feel worst... This song describes me very well... But then again... it describes just about anybody else also. I have to dissagree with "the best line of the song"... Most people think it' the last part. "We ride and never worry 'bout the fall, I guess that's just the cowboy in us all." My favorite line is: "Sometimes I'm my own worst enemy. I guess that's just the cowboy in me". That's my favorite because everybody feels that way sometime. |

This song brings me to tears or near tears every single time I hear it. In my town a guy named Nate saved one of his buddies and tried to save another one when they're boat capsized in rough water in the harbor. One of them survived with frostbite, the other died of hypothermia and other complications. Nate's body wasn't found. I know this song is about inner strength. But I always think about him when I hear this song because he helped his buddies get to safety and lost his own life in the process. |

vipergt196 is right! I think it's about somebody commiting suicide also. BUT! I think somebody killed somebody and then commited suicide. Read the two parts seperately and it sounds kind've like a suicide in one part, and a murder in the other... So I think it's a little of both. |

I love this song! It's so true about how a mother thinks of her children... My father is the youngest in his family and my grandma has alzheimer's disease, she doesn't remember a thing and has quite facinating hallucinations but that's beside the point. Yesterday during Christmas my dad was late because he had to work, but all my grandma would say was "when's mitch getting here, he's coming right"... But she didn't make mention about other members of the family not being there. Part of that is probably that he visits her house everyday to see how her and my grandpa are doing. |
