Saybia – The Second You Sleep Lyrics 17 years ago
This is definitely a highlight from this album. I think the meaning is pretty straightforward, lying there watching your girl (or guy) fall asleep, thinking how beautiful they are. I don't quite get what he means by her being gone the next day, maybe it is just literally that she'll be leaving before he wakes? I don't know, love the song though

Rise Against – Injection Lyrics 18 years ago
Ah right, I got it when they let it out as an advance from Interpunk and the title they gave it was "Injection". Pretty sure that's what it'll be on the release, which I can't wait to get my hands on.

The Reindeer Section – Budapest Lyrics 18 years ago
Last verse;

His little hand round my thumb
Makes me warm and numb
I hold my breath and smile
And hope it stays for a while

Only just got this album, but I think this is one of the best on there.

Scissor Sisters – Comfortably Numb (Pink Floyd cover) Lyrics 19 years ago
Okay, I may have over-reacted slightly, I don't like the song - that's just my personal opinion. However, I don't think it can have as much "meaning" as the original because it's been taken from such a closely woven album. Listening to The Wall in full really helps you to get a feel for what the song is saying. Also, as with a lot of music, Floyd especially, much emotion is evoked by the music itself, which is now only loosely related to the great, flowing guitar work that made the original so magnificent. So, sorry for my previous comment, but I still don't think this song can be translated very well, no matter how hard you try.

Scissor Sisters – Comfortably Numb (Pink Floyd cover) Lyrics 19 years ago
I've just heard this for the first time on some music channel and the first thought that entered my head was "Who the hell released the copyright for this???"

Floyd created a strong, moody masterpiece and this song has torn it to shreds
