Bugmenot - excuse me?! Are you quite deluded enough yet? We are all affected by what your government does - it is the most powerful country in the world (although definitely not the most responsible). Your description of Europe as 'enlightened', although sarcastic, is comparatively accurate. Also, the idealisms of socialism/communism are a lot more appealing to me than your so called freedom. 20,000 civilian casualties? oh, wait, that's the pro-American 'official' number, right? And the oil hasnt gone to Iraq, its IN Iraq! America lost its platform in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia) and it needed a new one, so they 'liberated' the Iraqi people, and now Haliburton (oh look! an AMERICAN company) control most of Iraqs oil. The American propaganda is aimed at the uninformed majority - I'm guessing pretty much every supporter of this invasion voted for Bush? I feel sorry for the 51% (ish) of Americans who voted against him, they and the rest of the world have to put up with Bush for another four years....(although give the guy some credit, he actually WON this time!!!) |
