this is a song about what happens when you love someone and they cheat on you and it breaks your heart. "sleep in this hole, about to fall, ashamed for you cause so for Ive been down thats true" the feeling of hopelessness that comes about when trying to sleep while depressed, feeling the fall of your sanity, ashamed for the actions of your lover, and how much they disrespected themself. "shake in a lie, about to fall, ashamed for you.." same thing. the lies of a cheating lover, about to fall into reality of heart break, and being ashamed of the act itself. "ask you why?" self explanatory. this whole song seems to come from the perspective of Chino sitting there hearing the confessions of a lover and feeling the instant of shame and heartbreak that you feel when someone you love does something so terrible as to disrespect themselves. |

this has become a very personal song for me over the years. it is clearly about dealing with someone you love, who doesn't love you in return. you memorize yr lines (ie what you should feel) and how to react and hide your true emotions. in a way it is song professing love, despite a set back. though the vibe would seem it is unreturned. |
