to me this song is about how everyone procrastinates. people seem to be afraid of doing things because they dont know if its the right thing to do, so they end up doing nothing and they're lives pass them by, hence "move now, or lose it all" it means to make something great with your life and pass it on to the next generation "the time has come for hand-me-downs" and somebody earlier wrote only potheads would think its about a street light or some shit, although u made an intresting comment about the myan stuff, i think u should watch what u say, im not a pot head, and ive always thought of this song as meaning a street light, after all, half of the fucking song has to do with driving, and i dont mean that the song is simply about driving, but, i think the certain shade of green is definatly refering to a street light. |

I think its one of those songs that has many meanings, depends on who the listener is. to me its about people who only look out for themselves, and would do anything to get themeselves ahead in life. and how they try to say that they are justified in the things they do, and saying that "if your a smart kid, you'll stay the hell away from love" meaning that the person thinks that you shouldnt love anything because it will drag you down. and "when the lights go out, your all alone" means that when these types of people go to bed, they probably start to think about all the people they have hurt to get where they are in life, and the fact that they are still alone, or if they are married they're spouse is probably only in it for the money. the last two lines are saying that we shouldent hurt one another because we are all family and no human is greater than the other. |

this song perfectly describes the relationship between me and a guy who used to be my best friend. it means that the person he wrote it about is extremely narrow minded and one sided about something or everything. he only sees things from one way, the way that makes him feel more comfortable with himself. for me it means that he really cares about the guy that is so narrow minded, but they guy just shuns him out and refuses to accept any appology or listen to anything he says because he is so sure that he is right. and how the person knows what he is saying is true "should i appologise, if what i say burns your ears and stains your eyes?" and the lines "through the cloudy glass we catch a glimpse of you" shows that sometimes this person is really cool and is fun to be around, but then he hides who he is with this ass hole charecter. the person is blind to the truth and refuses to see the situation for what it is. |

i thought that if u could draw a perfect circle it ment you were crazy? oh well, anyway, i think this song is about how he was looking for help in a friend that he has always helped out, yet his friend turned him down and left him to deal with his own problems. but i think that when he says "I knew the walls were coming down, and the stones that fell were aiming away from me" i think that means he was pissed that he was left there, but in the end, it will be to his benifit because his friend will eventually get what he deserves. |

I think this song is funny as shit, i dont think it has any real meaning, i think incubus just has a good sence of humer, i think its a pretty awesome song too. and the album is S.C.I.E.N.C.E. not fungus amoungus Outside Irony, but, this is definatly my favorite incubus cd, they rock solid ass. if this song has any meaning, its like not to insult others or something... it could be trip, but, i just doubt it |
